GAD annual pass room discounts

I am wondering if this is possible. Can I volunteer for the GAD tickets, upgrade to an annual pass and use the annual pass to get a room discount all on the same trip??? Has anyone tried this yet?

Provided you go by the will call window & convert you GAD Voucher to day ticekt and upgrade it an AP BEFORE you check into your resort, then I'd think yes, you can do it!

You are supposed to show your AP at check-in when on an AP rate, hence the need to do that part of the process first.
