I should have said that all power wheelchairs and any manual wheelchairs that are not foldable have to be traded for one of the POC manual wheelchairs.
Also, since we found out about the elevator, we have always used it. But many times before we found out, we were sent up the ramp with DD's wheelchair (which at the time was smaller and did fold). We had actually asked a few times if there was any other way off except the ramp and were told to just go up the ramp. How we found out about it was that someone with a cane who got off just before us was waiting for it once.
Another thing you need to know about POC is that there is a fairly large step down to get on the boat. You actually step onto the seat and then need to step down again to get your feet where they belong.
