With a gac, do you wait in the fastpass line? We had one on our last trip 3 years ago, and that was the procedure.

Hi and :welcome: to both DisBoards and disABILITIES!

I would suggest you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #6 discusses the GAC in some detail.

The simple answer is it depends on what stamps the CM in Guest Relations puts on the card based on reported needs, the particular attraction, and the crowd level. You would show the GAC to the CM at the start of the queue and will be told what access you willhave for that attraction.

Or, if you want an easier route to the FAQs, click on the link in my signature.

It depends on the stamp, the ride, the time of day, the CM on duty, the number of people in line, the number of people with GACs/wheelchairs who have already gone in, and whether fastpasses are left.

You should NEVER count on using the fastpass line with a GAC. You should not count on it to shorten waits. In fact, it even says on it that it does not shorten wait times, and most CMs in Florida and California are now underlining that line on the card and making you initial next to it, to be sure everyone understands.

I have waited up to 4x as long with a GAC and a wheelchair as the standby line.

there are many stamps for many different things, so it will really depend on the situation when you speak to the CM there.

To add to what the other posters wrote, sometimes even if you come back to the same attraction on the same day with the same GAC, it will be handled differently.
How it is handled depends on all the things that KPeveler wrote. Since those things can change during the say, how the GAC is handled can change.

That is the good thing about GAC, I is not a specific accommodation but allows the CM to be creative and adapt to the specific ride, the situation at the moment and any details about needs supplied beyond the stamp.

As was said, it will depend on a whole host of circumstances on each and every ride. What we did since they were all differnt, and until we knew what wa sliely, if there was an attendant at the fastpass entrance, we always went up to them and showed them the card and in our case, the sticker on the stroller that qualified it as a wheelchair. they were always exceptoinlly helpful and told you what to do in a very kind and courtesy way. :goodvibes In cases like Dumbo, where there was no fastpass and there was a handicapped entrance, we often went in there. Again, if no one was there at the entrance to the ride to be able to direct you and you couldn't catch a CMs eye to ask them, that was generally the way we went and all worked out well. The GAC is a God-send program for those that need it. Good luck! I hope it helps your trip be as magical as possible. :cloud9: Just go w/ the flow. They're all different but you'll get accustomed to it quickly.
