I keep mine in my purse in a pocket. My Disney D&B messenger bag has an outside pocket which is perfect and the other bag I use has a zipper front pocket. Both are handi spots for the GAC.
wherever you do carry it, put it in a sandwich zipper bag, once it gets wet it just falls apart, and you stand a good chance getting wet at WDW this time of year. I carry ours in an outside pocket of my shoulder bag, tried one of those id pockets once but the CM's ask you to take it out and it just takes more time.
Ours was the perfect size that it would lay flat in the parent tray on our stroller. We put it there so it was within reach when we needed it. For our next trip I got a plastic sleeve from staples for $5 that fits it perfectly. I figure I'll pick up a lanyard before our trip and it can go in there with park tickets/ect.
I just stick ours in the lanyard that I wear around my neck-I usually hold all the tickets anyway so everything is there. We were just at Disneyland CA and they are starting to ask the person (ie. our son) "what is your name", "who is the card for", etc.-just and FYI. Our son is verbal so he can talk back to the CM. I forgot to say the card is a little large so if you use a lanyard with the plastic you have to fold it 2 times to make it fit. I tried to get it out as much as possible to show the CM-they were very nice!
Hope this helps!

I pre-cut clear contact paper and then app;y it to both sides of the GAC at the window. It keeps the GAC in great shape all week despite wet weather or water rides.
I usually wear it and my ticket around my neck in a passport type pouch that has a lanyard. If I am on a rough ride I drop the whole pouch inside my shirt to keep it from banging around too much.

I put a piece of clear contact paper on the back of the GAC on our last trip. That way it was protected, but there would be no questions about it when showing it to CMs.
Thanks so much for the replies!!! Just a few more questions.....
1. Where did you get your lanyard?
2. Is it sturdy and is it 1 or 2 pieces?
3. Does it rub your neck or drive you crazy?
I am sorry for all the questions, its just so hectic to plan a first visit and my husband isn't crazy about Disney but I know my son will be, so I am trying to make sure I understand as much as possible and easy as possible.

You can get a disney lanyard at almost any shop (pin traders has lots) or just stop at any office supply before you go (much cheaper). the GAC is a single slightly thick paper. I personally don't like things on my neck so others can answer this for you. and feel free to ask away!
I put it in the outside zip pocket of my fanny pack. That's where I keep our room keys and photopass as well. I know that fanny packs are "dated" however I found that it works best for me and that's what matters besides it's a DISNEY fanny pack!
The GAC card is about 3 by 5 and the lanyards are mostly made for holding credit card sized items, so you would need to fold it to get it to fit.
Personally, I would not like that because it would be out all the time and would need to be removed from the lanyard to show to CMs.
I prefer to get it out only when we actually need to show it. With using Fastpasses as much as possible and planning, we don't need to use the GAC often enough that I want it out all the time.
