GAC at International Gateway

Has anyone ever tried to obtain a GAC at the International Gateway? I read in the Epcot FAQ that you can sometimes do this... we are planning to return our rental car at the Dolphin then walk to Epcot on our first day. Will we have to walk to the front of Epcot to get our GAC or do you think we'll be able to get it at the International Gateway? Thanks!

Unless someone who works there is able to confirm that they always have Guest Relations staff there (the ones in the red and blue plaid vests), I would assume you can't tell there would be anyone who could provide a GAC without going there.

If you are going to be walking thru there anyway, I'd suggest you check in the ticket booths at the International Gateway. Worst case scenario would be that they would say they have no one right then who can do it and then you walk to the front.

Last year, I was able to obtain a GAC for my son at the International Gateway. There was a small booth there with no line.

We received a GAC there in December - super friendly and again, no line. A much better experience than in the past at the Magic Kingdom where it is so crowded.

We stay at the BWV and always walk over the first night to get the GAC. The Guest Services office is on the left as you approach the IG. Tickets to the right.

you are correct. It is in the same area where people can purchase ticket, so it is on the 'outside' of the park.

Hi Everyone! Just back and had no trouble obtaining DS's GAC at the International Gateway on a Monday afternoon. I actually went through the turnstiles and had to go back out to Guest Services (outside the turnstiles). There was one CM there and no line. Quick & Easy. I had last year's GAC with me so she simply issued us a new one with the same accomodations.

I have a question...I just got off the phone with Disney making a quick change to our reservation, and she said we could get a GAC card at our resort. Have any of you ever heard that before??

No. You cannot get a GAC at any location other than the four major parks.

The thing is the call centers for Walt Disney Travel Company (who handle all reservations, including dining) may be in Orlando (International Drive area), Tampa, Houston, Salt Lake City or somewhere in North Carolina. For anything other than actually making reservations or purchasing tickets they can be a wealth of misinformation.

Other people have been told ahead of time that they could get a GAC at their resort. This is not something that is available except at the theme parks. The theme park Guest Services staff give out GACs, not any other Guest Services staff in any other location.

Thanks for the information! That will be so much easier for me to get a GAC! I am going to the Boardwalk teh night before the wedding to check out the site, so then I am going to the International Gateway to get my GAC! Thanks so much!
