Gabby Petito

Oh no I thought I just heard that they cannot determine how she died. I hope this is not going to be one of those cases where we really never know what happened. Sad for family. Such a strange case now saying he has been gone since Tues? why did police not watch him closer? He leaves car with a note, what did note say and parents go get it? They must be complicit or did he call them, has that come out, I didn't hear.

I definitely think that his family knows more. Really sad, especially since she lived with them and was going to be their daughter in law. I could be wrong, but I would bet money on it at this point.

I've seen some speculation that Brian may be on the Autism spectrum, which does explain his behavior in the video, as well as in some of their YouTube videos. At one point, the cop asked Brian if he took any medications and they muted out the first part of his response before hearing him say "but I don't take any medications", so he does apparently have some condition or other that maybe some people DO typically take meds for. We heard Gabby say she has "anxiety and OCD" but doesn't take meds. I wonder why they muted out Brian's answer but not hers.

In any event, they could absolutely be on drugs, based on their "lifestyle" and this whole nomadic existence/being at one with nature. I can see them doing psychedelics. They made it a point to say they don't drink, but interestingly the cops didn't ask about drugs. Just "medications."

I agree that they were ill prepared for this journey and really had no business being out on the middle of nowhere without means for emergency shelter and such. Just irresponsible, and I have a hard time understanding a lot about this whole situation.

what doctor would diagnosis anxiety with out giving meds I was 21 and I don’t remember getting a choice in the matter

I think the other poster has more of an issue with it than I truly do still though.
One last comment then I won't say anymore. Yes! I do think I have more of an issue nothing against you at all if you don't. That's my own fault I just hate when people use it not nicely. I think I did use it once or twice at first here when I first joined but I saw how bad that looked and now I just don't like it to be used. Okay new conversation now!!

The poster you quoted literally said that they were not saying that is what happened, just that it was another possibility. And the poster earlier was responding to your specific request for quotes. Once delivered, they were responded to once again with sarcasm.

ETA: Hmm, looks like your post was edited after I first read it.

Yes, thank you.

Just because someone isn’t taking meds doesn’t mean a doctor didn’t prescribe meds. We only know they each told the police that they don’t take meds for their conditions, we have no idea if they were ever prescribed them.

The autopsy isn't scheduled to be done until tomorrow. I highly doubt anyone at this point would be saying a cause of death can't be determined.
It's also important to remember that the autopsy procedure is not the end of the medical examiner's investigation. It's actually just the second phase, following the on-scene work. A lot of what goes on in an autopsy procedure is just collecting samples from the corpse. Those samples are then examined to see what, if anything, they tell us.

If the cause of death is not obvious, it could very well be 4-6 weeks before the autopsy results are determined...much less released.

Oh would you mind explaining? I can't quite keep all of it straight the last couple of pages trying to get caught up, it's starting to blur what information is 100% know and accurate and what has changed as time has gone on
Sure. I did post about this several other times in this thread, as well, but I know it’s hard to catch every word on something like this. Plus, we’re all reading different things and watching different shows, etc. So things can overlap.

But my reading of the police incident was that she was the aggressor, and in a state of manic behavior at that time.

His touching her was not hitting her, per se, but his moves were defensive when she was hitting him. She hit him in the face with her phone and scratched his face. He also had scratches on his arms from her grabbing his arms while he was driving the van (which caused the van to swerve). He had no visible injuries that I recall.

The police felt that they were dealing with a “mental health crisis”; both admitted to having mental health issues without being treated with medication but none of us know exactly what they are at this time (other than what was listed that they admitted to in the police report).

I’m not sure where people are getting their information that “he hit her”, except if maybe they read different sources than what I read. However, there is little doubt that that police report - in which she was deemed the aggressor - will be a big part of his defense, IMO.

Someone posted a link to a 911 call where a man called in and said that he witnessed him hitting her.

Probably best to let it go at this point since the comments were quickly edited.
Why not just say 'let's let it go'. I think saying 'since the comments were quickly edited' makes it seem like you're jabbing at the poster wanting to get the last word but I could be misreading your comment so I'm really sorry if I am!! You already said you didn't like their tone and that's why you used the laughing thing so what would change about that if their post was edited. I don't know what was edited or not, I think I got in here too late for that.

I agree about letting it go just think it could be a simple 'let it go' without the added stuff. Okay promise last time I comment on that!!!!!!!

Because the comments were quickly edited once she saw she was being called out on them. This was not acknowledged by her but I let it go. You seem to be the only one still wanting to create some drama here.

I will have to go back and find and read it. Was out today reading this on my phone. :bitelip:
Was this a different witness than “Christopher”?
Why would they all concur with what happened in the police report if it was different?
Is this the gaslighting that people were referring to?
Just trying to figure this all out after shopping and while getting dinner ready. :scratchin

I've PM'd you because it seems you've really got a misunderstanding going on here.
