I have discussed here in the past that my DP loves big trucks. She even considered adding a lift kit to her Ford Ranger in order to make it a bit bigger. But, this evening she made the leap to a brand new 2006 Ford F-150 XLT with all the bells and whistles. She made a great deal and had a basement low APR. I am proud of her for making them work to earn her money. She took the deal on their 5th offer. She got more for her trade in than Kelley said it was worth. She got the deal for well below MSRP even after an extended warranty was added. I am very proud of her negotiations.

Gabby is finally the owner of her very own BIG TRUCK! Maggie

Well then, let's have photos of Maggie and her Bigness! :D

Good going Maggie! Enjoy the ride!

I feel the ground trembing beneath my feet
...is it an earthquake?
...is it a galloping T-Rex headed straight for us?
...is it the SnoopDogMobile's woofers blastin' out some dirty south?
NO!
It's Maggie and Gabby warming up their new PU!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY DRIVING!!!!!!!!!

congratulations to Gabby on the new ford, I to will be in the market for a new truck soon, got my eye on one of those new tundras hopefully I can get as good a deal as Gabby did.

Congratz to Gabby on her new Truck (even though it's a Ford)... :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

I just purchased a brand new truck too... gotta love 'em. However, i didn't go for the super-duper sized, especially with the price of gas these days... whew...

I ended up with one of the nifty new Toyota Tacomas, which were reworked and much bigger than before. My thought was that they made the Tacomas the size of the old Tundras and then made the Tundras a little bigger too... I thought about looking at the Tundras, but I liked the sporter look of the Tacomas...

Anyway... just wanted to say congratz!

Oh I really like Tacomas! My neighbor has one. Wicked nice truck.

Gabby looked at the Tundra, but she didn't like the seats and the way it drove. The crash test rating was also much less desirable on the Tundra. Her sister has one and loves her's, but Gabby just didn't care for it. The Ford F-150 that she bought has the anti-slip rear differential, the fully boxed frame, and over 9000 lb towing capacity. The only thing that she wanted, but didn't get was a sun/moon roof. But, to get that, she would have had to have purchased a Lariat and it wasn't worth the extra $2000 + to get a freakin' piece of glass in the roof. lol Towing capacity and comfortable rear seating were the main focus points in the purchase, but the fact that it's blue was just a bonus. ;)

Like I said, Gabby made a great deal. I told my father tonight what she paid for it and he said that the next time he is in the market for a new truck, he wants us to negotiate the deal. :lmao: Maggie

Hey Sister, Just ran across your thread and wanted to say Congrats on your baby...a BIG F150!! I used to drive an S-10 years ago, but now I'm a BIG GIRL with an F150 Lariat. I had to get the Lariat so I could peel off the ariat part leaving the "L"...you know what I mean. ;)
