G7

Anybody have the new G7 yet??? Likes? Dislikes??? I currently have a 7.2mp Cybershot and somehow I need an upgrade. I was thinking of the G7...it's about in the price range that I want to spend.

I love the G series, one of my fave cameras of all time is the G5.

Only drawback that I see with the G7(do not plan on buying it) is that it does not capture RAW files, just do not understand why Canon took that away since the G5 and G6 both shot RAW.

I have a G1 and it shoots RAW. Anyone who says 3.1 MP can't give good results hasn't used a G1.

My first digital camera was a G1 - still got it and although veryyyyy slowwww it still takes great images

I am also considering the G7. I wanted something smaller than the S3, but wanted more than a standard 4x zoom. The G7 has a 6x. Seems like a good compromise to me - great quality, manual options, small size. Any other opinions?
