FYI: Wonder changing Nassau departure time

Feb 4 - Disney Cruise Line is adjusting the time Disney Wonder leaves Nassau. They have moved the sailaway from Nassau earlier to 7:30pm on the weekly 3-night cruise.

I just got off of the phone with the Shore Excursion desk. We are sailing on the 4-night Wonder cruise departing on 2/13. The woman I spoke with told me that we are scheduled to depart Nassau at 11PM, as originally scheduled.

It states they're only doing this on the 3-night cruises (not sure why though).

well that stinks!! That is one of the reasons we decided to go for the 3 nighter, head over to Atlantis for some nightime gambling before heading out! Bummer!

I booked my excursions today for my 4 night April cruise and was told that the departure time was changed to 7:30 pm because of Pirate Night.

Some info items are still listing the 11:00 departure but it is definitely 7:30. This was done because they said that everyone was enjoying the Pirate Night with the fireworks out at sea not in the dock with the other boats.

If I am not mistaken, the 3 day Wonder has been departing Nassau at 7:30 for a few months already.

I remember reading a thread about this a few months ago.

This is soo odd .. I got a final itinerary from my agent at Dreams last week and it shows a departure time from Nassau of 11:00 pm. From the looks of this thread it looks like we should plan on leaving Atlantis by 6:00 or 6:30 ....that certainly changes the amount of time we thought we had at Atlantis.


Might not have paid $400 for Atlantis had we known this and I even asked our dreams agent about booking Atlantis. I know a lot of people their Dreams agent and have got really great service from them, but my experience has been less than something to about. And this is a perfect example .

just got my docs yesterday for our 2/24 Wonder sailing and they say 11:00pm also, I knew I wasn't nuts! Also glad we didn't purchase the rooms at Atlantis!

We were on the 12/2 WOnder sailing and we left at 7:30PM. It also eliminates the teen catamarayn cruise they advertise.

So, what time do you need to be back onboard for a 7:30 departure time?

This is really disappointing. I like fireworks, but why not do them after Castaway Cay? IMO, that would be the best day as they leave CC too early.
