FYI - Windsor Hills Community Pool Closed September 2014

Just an FYI that the main Community Pool at Windsor Hills will be closed for refurbishment from Sept 2 - October 1 2014.

I was about to make a reservation for September when I noticed that.

We are booking a 3 bedroom townhome with a private splash pool, so I will probably go ahead and book, but this would really discourage me from booking a Windsor Hills condo during the month of September when it's blazing hot.

I was just on my way over here to post that. I may second guess my stay there this time (not their fault, they have to do it some time!). But I may investigate other options.

The Windsor Hills website said that the refurbishment only affects the main pool so if you stay in a house or townhouse you will have a private pool to use.

We chose to stay in Windsor Palms in instead of Windsor Hills for our September trip partially because of this. Yes, we are renting a house with a splash pool, but with nine people in the house, we may want more swimming room during our non park down times. I've never been to either resort, but apparently Windsor Palms is basically the next community over, so it is still very close to Disney property and was actually a bit cheaper. Just another option to consider.

Where does it have the info about the pool? I can't see it anywhere. We were about to start booking our vacation and had stayed at Windsor Hills before and were looking forward to it again. Though our dates aren't set in stone. We are still thinking of early next year instead of this fall!

so I just talked to someone at Windsor Hills, and she said we would be welcome to drive over to Mystic Dunes and use their pool if we stay in WH in September. Has anyone else been told this?

Yes. I have heard that WH guests can use the pool at Mystic Dunes (which is next door) during the month of September.

Paradise Palms has a beautiful resort pool, a little further than Windsor Hills to Disney, but not bad.

Just got an email from condo owner stating that yes, we can use the MD pool in September. Woo-hoo! Makes the $199 a week even sweeter.

We are booked too in September at WH and booked for the deal! Was a bit worried remembering the heat in September....glad to hear this We will definitely look into this...so great of the "neighbours" to help out....
