I had sent an email about some issues I had and got a call back from Guest Services..... Must to my shock, I was informed that a few of my ADRs had been red flagged as duplicates and was told that there was a possibility that they could be cancelled/deleted...... I argued about this because I do not see why I cannot have 2 different meals ( 8 am BOG breakfast and 12 oclock BOG lunch) . We had this for two days. We are not big breakfast eaters, we are going during holiday season when the park is going to be super crowded, figured this way, we would be able to share meals and have a guaranteed place to sit!!!! I went round and round with her and she seemed to almost be debating it with me. She said I just wanted to warn you that this is a chance of that happening and didnt want it to catch me by surprise!!!, I was at work and couldnt escalate the call. My daughter (20) and I have had many issues on our trips and really want this one to go as smoothly as possible. After discussing this with my daughter we changed our plans around to avoid the possibility of this happening. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, ( guess even if it's two different meals at the same restaurant on the same day, it now gets flagged)

They had no idea what they're talking about. Disney does not cancel anything on you. They'll charge you if you don't show up, but they won't cancel it.

*except in very specific circumstances, like dining during a hard-ticket event.

There is no way an 8 am and a noon adr overlap. I think that CM was either clueless or.....

I agree. I also have a BOG breakfast at 8:00 and a BOG lunch at 10:50, and they do not overlap and it is intentional. I'm sure other people may eat at the same places for breakfast and lunch and/or breakfast and dinner, such as Garden Grove or O'Hana. They couldn't enforce that at all I don't think - never known Disney to turn away potential money rolling in. Now if you had two lunches at BOG at 10:30 and 12:00, I see how that might cause a problem, but if you cancel within the allotted time allowed, I don't even see a problem with that.

Agree with previous posters, if it's two different meals, I don't see why they would care. What I wonder is when CM said her ADRs had been "red flagged" is she really seeing something in the computer about there being an issue, maybe it's for some other reason or was she really making it up that there was special notation?

I have ADR's all over the place for overlapping times-because we are going to have apps at Raglan Road then dinner at Morimoto, dinner at Artist Point and dessert at Beaches and Cream, etc. We do this EVERY trip and have never had a problem. I think that CM had no idea what she was talking about.

Well it's not true that Disney doesn't cancel Ressies. I received a call from Disney a few years ago about "overlapping reservations". They asked me to pick which reservations I was going to keep on the phone or they would cancel them. They told me that they would keep the last made reservation and cancel the early"conflicting" reservation if I didn't decide on the spot. They also told me they don't have to contact you to do that.

I just booked for May. While in the process I picked the wrong day for one and got a message that I already had a reservation during the same time. The system requires you to cancel the existing one before booking a new one during the same or similar time. I'm not sure how someone could even end up with overlapping times now. Maybe this is a new check in the system to partially deal with the third party ADR broker services that were becoming a problem?

The IPO booked my overlapping times for me and they are completely unconcerned about the fact that I still have one that needs to be cancelled. In fact, they made four double bookings for me and told me to take my time deciding which ones I wanted to keep. I am the one that wanted to release the double ADR's because I feel bad about hoarding any.
I guess it is possible that they just randomly check ADR'S now and flag certain ones.

That's true for the website but not necessarily true for the app.

I would think they trust you to take care of the double booking. It's happened accidentally with me. I just logged into my MDE and made the corrections.

Sorry. What is "IPO?"
Itinerary planning office, they assist guests with club level reservations.

Ahh... good to know. The website definitely scolded me about some overlaps when I was changing, but if the app doesn't do that, it's good to know to pay extra attention.

I have mentioned it to them several times and have been told several times to take my time making a decision. One planner actually said you can wait until you are here to decide!

Well, I think most would do what they think is right in the big picture.

Like I said, I immediately cancelled all but one and the one I have left is between The Wave and Artist Point-both still showing plenty of available times for the night I have them so I am not holding anyone up.

Good it's all taken care of. I feel the same way as you about making unneeded available.

You have two good options with Wave and Artist Point. We ordered apps for dinner at Wave and really enjoyed them. With dining it's decisions decisions. :goodvibes
