Our grandkids passports were mailed in around June 23 and we just got them yesterday. :yay: 12 weeks to process. So if anyone is still waiting and wondering, they're processing mail-ins from Nova Scotia around that week. Still have 2 passports to go that were sent on June 30th but hopefully next week. :)

I applied on line and went to a passport office, you must tell them that you applied on line-othewise you won't be serviced by on line agents. If you have internet, and for anyone over 16 APPLY on line. I was called up within 5 minutes and there was at least 100 people in stand by lines.

UPDATE- in person passport took 8 days! :cool1: LAst November i applied at post office, and waited til mid Feb before getting them. Mail in/Receiving applications are the last to process. If you need them for a planned trip, definetly do in person.... The rush will be starting this fall especially if they are going to need them in the new year for driving across boarder too.

Thanks for the info. Our last trip was Dec '06, before the passport requirement. I was planning on getting them in case we can swing a trip in Feb '08. I guess I better get moving!

Last Nov we applied for our Feb 07 trip, and we got them just before we left! :scared1:

If you think you will need them, don't do mail. I remember last year, reading people that applied in Jan 07 at a passport office, got them in FEb and we applied late Nov!!

Good luck!
