I spoke to my guide today regarding 5 people in a room. She confirmed that although in the Guidebook/Bylaws it states that there can be no more than 4 in a studio or 1BR, MS are allowing 5 in a room as long as the youngest child is 10 or younger. There will be no additional bedding or towels, of course.

Hope this helps all who wonder.

That is an answer as varyed as the number of guides.

And since the papers you sign say "4", they could decide to enforce it at any time.

If you count on that, I would advise you to get it from your guide in writing.

Why would anything other than the Guidebook/Bylaws be considered the "official" word?

When DVC sends that to all members in a printed document, it will be the "official" word.

As for this site, occupancy debate is welcome on the Debate Board. There is a debate on this very topic there at this time.

Enjoy!
