FW Merchandise

While we were just at the Fort, I questioned them at the store on Monday, and the lady told me they would be bringing back FW merchandise again, she just did not know when. She said they asked about it when they were marking everything down and were only told it would not be gone forever. They only thing they have left right now are some little kids shirts, trail hitch covers and some hooded jackets.

I hope they do. I really didn't like the last round of FW merchandise they came out with. I know I'm not the only one who would love to see Musket Mickey return, but even Hiking Mickey, and Camping Goofy and Chip and Dale would be awesome.

It's funny how it depends on who you ask. I asked a CM at the Meadows post last week who said they doubt they will be getting any more resort-specific merchandise. They said the WL and a few other resorts will get to keep their merchandise, but most resorts have been phased out.

I sure hope the information you received KimIce is more accurate than what I was told! I miss the merchandise. I did pick up one of those hitch covers that was marked down to $3.99.

I was told the same thing on my last two trips that Disney was getting out of the resort specific merchandise. The only ones that were left were those that had just recently redesigned their stuff and were previously ordered.

The CM's said a lot of people were disappointed & suggested I call, write, or email to complain & hopefully Disney will bring it back.

I need a new FW license plate for my motorhome.

Thanks for the info. I sent my request also. Lets just hope they do listen to the guests!! I think it would be very good advertising for them by having the resort merchandise, I don't understand their way of thinking.

I was looking forward to getting some resort-specific items from Fort Wilderness when we go in May, and am sorry to read the threads on here saying that it is all pretty much gone.
. I hope that CM was right and they bring it back. I think it is one of those things that makes going to DW special, and even makes me want to visit other resorts to get something I know I can't get at home or just anywhere at the parks.

I had the Pop Up out today to get it ready for spring, sure glad I read on this forum that the Disney Store had Tire Covers 1/2 off last June - my first post using it as my Avatar

Thanks for the link. We just got back today and I was catching up on my DISboard gossip/info/laughs and saw the link. I sent them an email also. We have spent much less money there since they did away with our FW merchandise and I told them that. Bottom line is the dollar. Hope it helps.

Until FW brings back their logo merchandise (if they do), you might check on e-bay. There is often FW merchandise offered for sale there.
