lemstar, I too was interested in info for the FW campfire program. If you do a search with FW and campfire you will find ample info. There was also a link provided that told about the times. From what I can remember the campfire starts about 8PM and the movie about 40 minutes later. I think that the times might be different during the slower season, it will say it on the link. Sounded like alot of fun. They roast marshmellows and make s'mores before the movie. Of course, you have to purchase the sticks and the marshmellows in order to take part in this. Anyway, sounds like a fun thing to do.:)

I found the following information on deb's page:

The campfire program is open to all WDW resort guests. It generally begins around 7:00 p.m. during the fall/winter season and 8 p.m. after the time changes in April through the summer. It is held near the Meadow Trading Post in the campfire area. The program begins with a sing-along led by a Disney CM and a marshmallow roast around two campfire rings. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the Chuckwagon (roasting sticks and marshmallows are $2). You may also buy pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, juice, popcorn, sodas, coffee, beer and other refreshments at the Chuckwagon. While this is going on, Chip and Dale make an appearance to visit with guests and sign autographs. The sing-along lasts about 40 minutes. Next, one or two Disney animated features, depending upon the season, are shown on a large outdoor screen. Seating is available in bleachers or on benches. There is also plenty of room to lay out a quilt or blanket. The movie schedule is posted at all comfort stations. In the event of rain, the sing-along is still held on the porch of the Meadow Trading Post.
I hope this helps! We are also going in September and planning on going to this.

Our last trip was in Nov. 2000, and we usually didn't go over to the campfire until around 9, which was when the main feature was beginning. We didn't get there for the singalong, but the fire burns the whole time. We toasted our marshmallows and watched The Return of the Apple Dumpling Gang. My two DS (who were 10 and 13) loved it. It is is great way to relax after a busy day in the parks. And when the parks close at 7 or 8, a nice way to spend more family time. You also can ride down the the lake and catch the electric water parade. A must see!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

HI,

We have been camping twice at Ft. WIlderness and love the campfire and movie! If you check out the Camping Board here on the DIS, I'm sure you will find lots of info on the program. "DisneyCampers" usually posts the monthly movie schedule on the board so you can decide which night you would like to go depending on the movie being shown. Or you can call Ft. Wilderness directly about a week before your trip.
