FW AP Discount?

I called tonight to book a trip Sept 18-25. No AP discount available, but I did get a 20% discount through AAA. To say I was excited is an understatement.

Keep an ear out - AP discounts could come out later in the year. Not sure if they'll be better than 20% but can't hurt to keep tabs.

For our reservations in April we got a 20% on a preferred using AAA
Booked a full hookup eons ago, called back last august the day the new rates came out to add the AAA discount. No discount available for full hookup (both for april or dec) so I went with a preferred site for less money than the full hookup original price

December (booked 2 weeks since we are unsure which week will work with DH work schedule)

Peak weekend (17th & 18th) $107 per night (almost double from previous weekend rate)

Just wanted to add - When the current Gift Card deals came out, I reworked the numbers (less gas to drive van than drive MH, Room costs more than campground, etc) and for a whopping $1.70 more than what we are paying for the fort we could switch to POP Century (DS17 not going) and get a $300 gift card. Had to think long and hard, no cooking or clean up during vacation. Needless to say the Fort won out this time. But it has made us rethink AP because of needing to purchases X number of days tickets to get in on these deals.

I called today to check on discounts available for 1st part of July, none available yet, but CM did mention new AP rates should come out end of April or 1st part of May....waiting anxiously here!
