Fuzzy Knitted scarves? How to?

Hi. Does anyone knit with the different kind of textured yarns? I have a few different ones that I bought, and want to knit a scarf for DD14.

What size needles ?
How wide(number of stitches)do you put on?
If It is easy I am on my way to knitting many more.

What type of yarn did you get? I made a cute scarf out of Patons Cha Cha and Crystal Palace Squiggle help together. For that scarf I used size 15 needles and casted on 100 stitches and just knitted until I ran out of yarn. It was really easy and only took me about an hour.

On this does anyone know of a pattern for the fuzzy scarves that are tube-like (the kind you can find in stores) so that they can be worn many different ways?

If you do not want to buy a round loom, you can get 4 short knitting needles with points at BOTH ends, then simply knit in the round.

If you do not want to buy a round loom, you can get 4 short knitting needles with points at BOTH ends, then simply knit in the round.

Thanks for the suggestion also, haven't tried regular knitting since I was much younger so thinking this might be a bit more complicated. I have been a chrocheter for years though and have thought the round looms might be a fairly easy way to do this. I do appreciate all the help though
