Could DVC use ROFR on resales then turn around and sale it again, but with the new longer contract date? (OKW, BWV, VWL, BCV, VB, HH)

Does anyone think this will happen? Maybe after SSR sells out?

Just how long can these resales stay up like they are with SSR now in the mix? Anyone care to take a guess?

And if they do plummet, how many of us will buy these resales as an add on? ;)

Not without offering the extension to all members. It's the resort as a DVC that has the expiration at this time.

Ohhhhh...... I see. It will be very interesting to see what happens.
At what point do you think they'll stop using ROFR on the shorter contract date resales?

Hello: The only people upset with falling prices of resales would be Disney and people who want to sell. Anyone who wants to keep their contracts or who want to buy would be very happy. I fall into the latter group.

ROFR will stop once retail sales are near their end or DVD no longer feels resales are affecting the retail price and demand. My guess for the latter is about 22-25 years out from the end but it largely depends on factors we don't know yet. These factors include what other resorts, how much left to sell, retail price and whether an extension is offered to current owners.
