No, it's not a new section of Epcot, but it is an opportunity to kvetch (complain). I'm combining the best of all worlds, speculation about DVC, imagination, creativity and of course kvetching.

So here's the deal sit back and relax. Breath in and out. Close your eyes. Now cast your mind forward, forward, forward into the future.

At this future time are 4 new DVC resorts:
  • Contemporary Resort Villas
  • Villas at the Polynesian Resort
  • Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas
  • Eagle Pines Villas
Now what don't you like about the resort? The view? The decor? The walk to the car? The staff? The dues? The weather?

There must be something to complain about.

So, go ahead, have fun. Reach deep, deep down and get in touch with the dark side. Be creative. Indulge your schadenfreund.

The Monorail keeps me awake during my daytime Nap :lmao:

Why would they put a DVC this close to it knowing WE are not all day parkers
:rotfl2:

Eeeeewwwwww the smell of giraffe manure from the savannah view villas is just more than I can bear!!!!! :crazy2:

I'll play! :)

What's the theme at the Contemporary?? It's so blah, but maybe because I work in grey concrete building. They should have done a better theme!

Poly--Too far to the other parks!! Not everyone wants to go to MK everyday.

Eagle Pines--Isn't this "off-site"?

Haha...

The Villas at the Polynesian Resort? Sad to say, it's just not what I expect.

The theme is, what? Palm trees and beaches in Florida? Hey, DVC, wake up: we're already in Florida!!! Everywhere you look: palm trees and beaches. How about a real theme?

And what about the dining options. A coffee shop, an "all-you-can-eat" joint and a snack bar. This is "Deluxe"? C'mon, Disney - we paid a LOT OF MONEY for a DVC Resort on the monorail, and we deserve better than this.

Speaking of monorail resorts: Disney, I know that you want to keep us on site and filling your coffers, but did you have to put the VPR so far from the entrance to the property - and so far from everything else. By the time I get off-property, I feel like I've driven to Tampa!

Did you know that, for all the longhouses that the VPR has, they only have one feature pool and one leisure pool? And I can speak from experience that those pools get crowded - heck, even folks who aren't Disney guests often stop by, changing into their swimsuits in the bathrooms. Don't plan on getting a table by the pool to eat or drink at unless you get there by 8:00 AM!

Don't even get me started about how big the place is! Let's put it this way: there are long & winding paths everywhere - heck, even the bell service has to use golf carts (which they don't seem to provide to "Deluxe" DVC guests). How big is VPR? Well, it's so big that parts of the resort are closer to the TTC and monorail to EPCOT than they are to the lobby, pool and 'dining' locations.

To sum it up: Staying at VPR? Fill up your gas tank, bring your hiking boots & a list of good restaurants elsewhere, and let the resort theme take you all the way to .... Florida.

IMHO - YMMV

PS This was fun, in a sick & sad way! :lmao: :guilty:

4 new resorts , WOW

I've been calling MS for the last 2 days :rotfl2: and I just can't get a room even though the CM said one should open up soon. CM said to call back again tomorrow. :lmao: :lmao:

my "complaint" as an owner of those 4 would be, if after i bought into dvc, they built a resort that was as large as ALL OF THOSE COMBINED, and this new resort was 20 min by bus from a single park.

THAT would be the complaint......

You were lucky. At least you only had to smell it. We checked into our 1 bdrm and Mousekeeping hadn't bothered to clean under the bed, and you know what was there, don't you? Giraffe manure! I think it's taking theming a bit too far.
