Future Imagineers Thread (Disney Parks in-depth)

I've been planning out a ron and monsters inc ride lately.... but the problem with me for the tron ride is that i can't picture a ride vehicle... i was thinking light bikes but a one person ride vehicle would congest lines too much even if it had to seprat loading docks... than i also thought about qouras light car but thats still only 2-4 seats same with the light flyer

I know I posted this elsewhere, but this seems to be the more active thread for this.

I had an idea for a Kingdom Keepers combonation coaster-show thing where you get on, off, and back on.

You're in a cart on a tour of Mount Mickey, audio-hosted by the DHIs. As you go up, you see a faint shadow that looks like a dragon. The car rattles and shakes as you continue your ascent. When you reach the peak, a voice tells you to get out.

It's none other than Finn, the head of the KKs. The peak breaks open and Maleficent in dragon comes out. Finn gives you a sword and says to strike at the heart. You do, and then get back in the cart with Finn in tow. You zoom down the bottom of the peak, and find the other KKs waiting for you at the bottom. Amanda gives him a kiss on the cheek, and Maybeck says, "Who saw that one coming?". Everyone laughs, and you exit, an honorary Keeper.

Thoughts?

Ok so I just thought up this idea... idk how i could improve this but:
So, its Alice in Wonderland, but like TOT, except your falling down the rabbit hole. So, your in this elavator type thing, except, your standing up.you have those restraint type things (like for rollercoasters) on the wall.

That would be really cool. I had an idea for a mini-version ToT that would be themed off Sleeping Beauty

yeah thats actually really cool!! I had an idea kinda like that except its with rapunzel and her tower. You are escaping her tower and then down you go! lol

When I was 10 years old, i designed an entirely new thrill park geared towards tweens, teens, and young adults. I still have the outline... It's kind of embarassing but I kinda still feel like it's a good concept! Willing to listen???

Around my tenth birthday, I had this epiphany. Not for a ride, or a new section of a park. A new PARK itself. I even drew it out (yes, I'm one of THOSE Disney nerds lol)

I called it the Heros vs. Villains Adventure. Basically, I put all the things in it that I feel like should be in Disney SOMEWHERE but don't want to overwhelm another park with it.

It is divided into two different parts: The Ancient Worlds and the Land of Make-Believe.

In Disney movies and stories, a lot of them are based off of stories already set in a place and time. A traditional story. That's where the idea for the Ancient World came from. In this part you might have like a kind of Grecian area with a Hercules attraction. And an Ancient China place with a Mulan ride or something like that.

Land of Make-Believe is the place where you put attractions geared towards less realistic (or modern) times and places. An example for this would be like a Fantasia area with a wild rollercoaster through the movie or maybe something like that.

Again, i designed this when I was 10 and I'm 16 now. I just feel like there should be an awesome place where thrill rides and Disney can co-exist in awesomeness. Suggestions? Comments? Thoughts?

That sounds really cool. Your idea is really cool. The idea of a villains land or park has been floating around peoples minds for awhile and it would fit perfectly with your idea. I have the idea for a rollercoaster based off the finale scene of Aladdin with Jafar. It would be like The Mummy coaster at Universal just you are running from Jafar as a huge snake.

I have always thought a revamp of Peter Pan ride is in order. Not like.... replace it. God, no. But I mean a different ride. Soarin'-esque, with a flying adventure. Except instead sitting down in a hang-glider, you're lying face down in a special suspension arm, holding you OVER a giant screen

That's cool, but I really like having just the Peter Pan ride the way it is. Maybe add more movement to the ride seats and add some new effects and maybe make some more scenes, but besides that, the ride is a classic and should remain a classic. Maybe, a ride based on the movie "Up"?

That sounds great. My sugestions would be to go more in-depth with the lands instead of two make like a specific greek part and a specific aincent china/ same with the other half of the park.

I also find the peter pan ride idea interesting... maybe throw it in a london section of your park... although me being a roller coaster type guy almost every ride i dream up is a roller coaster and i think a peter pan ride where you lay just like your soarin idea but on a roller coaster would be pretty tight

All of this really got me thinking about my ideas. So I went digging through my old stuff and I found the paper where I wrote it all down.

I had everything sub-divided. I had China, Greece, Camelot, Atlantis, and the Underworld. Other ride ideas I wrote down included a Sword in the Stone interactive sword fight attraction, defeating the Huns, a Leviathan roller coaster, decoding the Shepard's Journal.

I love your reboot of the Peter Pan idea with the coaster twist... if we switched Camelot to London, then that would fit in quite nicely.

Maybe you should have a section of Greece be the Underworld, it would be like the Make-Believe section of it? You could put some dark ride or dark ride/rollercoaster there. I'm getting an idea where it would be a roller coaster entirely in the dark but with a lot of sense overloads like flashing lights, sounds, wind machines and such. It would be so scary and it would have a pre-show with Hades and stuff.

That sounds so awesome! I love the idea..... yeah if we meshed Greece and the Underworld together that would really work well.

I know that there's an Alice in Wonderland ride in the Land, but I kind of feel like we could put one in the Land of Make-Believe in the World, in lieu of the Tim Burton version. Not necessarily plot-wise, but more adult. Darker, if you will.

How about a Pocahontas white-water rafting in one of her canoes sort of flume? It would be like a cross between Splash Mtn. and Mission: Space. Like you get a paddle and you get to interact with the ride and act like you're controlling it, but in reality it's quite contained. And you get to go down slopes and "around the riverbend." :}

That should be it's name. Around the Riverbend
