Thanks for being here to relay all your helpful advice; hopefully I'll be tapping your brains soon! (I actually pointed out rings to Jeff this weekend!!)

Great thread! There certainly are a lot of past Disney brides, some of whom lurk (I'm guilty of that) but I'm happy to help in any way I can!

Ya'll are in excellent hands!

Actually, I'm kind of a lurker around here...my DFTW isn't until December 2009 but I need ALL KINDS of help deciding on a ceremony and reception location. I really wanted an Epcot ceremony but I'm not sure about any of the reception sites there. Any advice?

Okay, first you MUST start a PJ (we like them!)
Then, you should read Lurkyloos TR and Mary626's TR. They both had Epcot ceremonies.

In terms of reception sites... there are ZILLIONS for you to pick from. If you want to stay in Epcot you can do Living Seas, American Adventure Parlour, Wonders of Life Pavilion.... If you want to leave Epcot you can do Ariels, The Attic, Atlantic Dance Hall....

There are tons of places you can choose from

I'm going to need lots of help as well, when the time comes. I hope to be a vow renewal bride in the next few years. I know it's still early to start planning, but who knows, maybe it isn't. I have some ideas in my head, but have a LOT to learn. I've been reading as many VR reports and journals as I can, but there is still a lot of info that I need. For instance, how do I find out the info on the outside vendors...for example, I've seen Stan mentioned here MANY times, as well as Beaute Speciale. I have no idea where to start since it's way too early to contact Disney.

Some of the outside vendor info comes from Disney (but only for services that Disney doesn't provide ;) ) - when you get your DFTW info packet after you set your date and are assigned a Wedding Consultant, there are pages in it with lists of possible officiants, tux rental places, and cosmetologists. But you don't *have* to use the ones on the lists.

There are several other ways to find out about outside vendors:

- Reading reviews on this message board

- Googling terms like "Orlando Photographer" and checking the Orlando Craig's List

- Check out the Central Florida message board on the Knot. The girls there aren't as anti-Disney as they are on the national Knot boards, and they use a lot of different vendors than Disney brides, so you can get more ideas.

:thumbsup2
