I think the Indiana Jones Adventure is a possibilty while their are rumors that the Brother Bear Raft Ride is in the works,as for Animal Kingdom well we'll just have to wait and see because it's the same system as test track. So what's your prediction and thought on these 3 attractions? For me I think the Indy Adventure dark ride is a must because you have 2 stunt shows in one park, you don't need that + it's been their since the park has opened. If the crowds don't get enough attention from the Epic Stunt Show and LMA does, you can't see the Indy Show lasting long in the future. I'm saying like 2007 this will come. For the Canada Attraction they'll need a Canada Attraction to block the Soarin' Building so this is actually a great addition to EPCOT if they do it. Last but not least Animal Kingdom could use JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH but they'll need something like a different or futuristic version of it if this ever happens. It'll have to be placed off of Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you are not likely to generate a lot of lively discussion here on this topic. The folks on this board don't tend to dwell much on "guesses" and "predictions." You'll find much greater responses to that sort of thing on a board like wdwmagic, where the posters are mostly in their teens and very early 20's. They tend to enjoy throwing around ideas and having people respond how "kewl that sounds."

You are free to post whatever you like, but a quick look through the last few pages of this board will reveal several threads just like this that died a very quick death due to disinterest. I could be wrong, though.

Most of us on this board recognize that it's all about money.

There is no shortage of great ideas for new attractions in the heads, file drawers, and model shops of the Disney Imagineering folks in Glendale, California -- and of their subcontractors, many of which are staffed by former Disney Imagineers. And these great ideas aren't just to build clones from other parks. The talent is out there, just waiting for opportunities to give us dozens of new "E" Ticket attractions.

But then there's economic reality. Disney adds or replaces attractions when the Disney decision makers determine that it makes business sense to do so.

Sponsorship plays a part. If a consortium of companies in Switzerland or Spain or Greece agreed to to provide significant funding, then we would get Switzerland or Spain or Greece at Epcot.

We get clones because it's less costly than designing something from scratch -- not because the Imagineers don't have any new ideas.

And we get big attractions like Expedition Everest when Disney determines that a park needs something major to boost attendance and to increase capacity.

I don't know about the three rumors that the OP posted. If any of these become reality, it will because the numbers make sense to Disney's top executives.

Yes, and Horace makes my point perfectly. We tend to discuss things from a rational and reality-based perspective. I've just seen several of these sorts of "hey, what if they..." threads die on the vine recently. It's no insult to the original posters in these cases, its just that we don't tend to have those types of conversations here. And, the OP may find that he/she would generate a lot of response and enjoy the process much more if they gave it a whirl on a different kind of board. But, I'm not trying to discourage any type of discussion, feel free to post away here.

So I can't discuss this on here? If so I can leave.
You are welcome to discuss Disney news and rumors on this board. Nobody is asking you to leave.

However, gcurling gave you some good advice about how this board differs from other boards on the web that might seem similar at first glance. In fact, you might really enjoy the "dose of reality" that characterizes this board.

Really? Huh Well I quess that explains that all the Birthyears are 50's,60's,ect. The reason I didn't go the WDW magic is the video fees, and I just kind of like this place better. :earboy2:

Ouch, that 50's comment hurt.:teeth:

Look it's great to discuss 'what if's' but if they aren't acompanyed by a seemingly legitimate source what's the point? We've discussed the possibility of a new India pavillion at Epcot recently and we've talked about the Indy move countless times when 'sources' had heard something...

It's not that we don't care but I think all of us could 'imagine' great things that will never get done and it's just kind of pointless to talk about that great new 'all thrill ride theme park' or what is 'bald mountain' going to be like...We already know the answers...They aren't going to happen at all.

Ha Pirate, I was born in the 60's, you old man.

Poor Uncleromulus--born in 1945!!!
Would add that whatever they wind up doing, Disney is far more likely to respond to the needs of the "that's cool" crowd than to the desires of oldtimers like me.
And I usually can't get excited over new things rumors, since most of what's hinted at, guessed at, or proposed would have no appeal to me anyway.

I think this poster is the same as another poster with a similar name on the WDW Magic boards. They keep asking the same question over and over about Indy Jones and Brother Bear ride.

These are from the same thread from the last couple days. There was another new poster on here a few weeks back that kept going on about the Indy Jones rides. Personally, I feel they can do what they want. People just need to be vigilant and know to avoid such threads.

What are some of the possibilities for EVEREST when it opens?...

Ok what do you think about the Indiana Jones Adventure? They even have the date of year. Disney Future Replacing the Epic Stunt Show??

Do you think that the Indy Adventure could come in 2007 and the Brother Bear Raft Ride could come in 2007 as well?
(website) You need to look at this to get more of what I'm saying. Why do you need 2 stunt shows in one park + It does'nt make sense if you have anything to cover the building for Soarin'.

They have updated the page take a look at the Indy Adventure slated for 2007 do you agree with that?(website)

Well still when will we know when the Indy Adventure might come to MGM? + I think the Canada Brother Bear Raft Ride is also in the works because why just have the Soarin' building not have nothing blocked in it's section. It does'nt look right. I believe DisneyCorner.com is totally not wrong because LMA & Soarin' they have listed on their are correct.

Rumors are not always based on real news or fact. Loosen up fellas there's room for others besides the realists who post here daily. Maybe A new trend is starting! :cool1:

OK, Mr. Curling...If that's the way you want to play it, I'll patiently wait until the subject of "hair" comes up... :teeth:

Uncleromulus- How old is that picture then? You two look good in it and much younger then that birth year.

Either that or I just look much older then I think I do :earboy2:

Greg, that was very delicately stated. (Unlike the bad spelling bashing that so many of us took great joy in jumping on in a previous, similar thread.)

Well anyways what do you think about this? 2008/2009?? - Indiana Jones Adventure - Rumor - (5/9/05) While there is a chance that the Indy ride could still be built at the Studios, we’ve heard from a few sources that they are not planning on closing down the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Show anytime soon either to make room. Of course there is plenty of room over at Animal Kingdom where it could be given a new story. However... our sources tell us that there is still an E-Ticket attraction in development for the studios. It could be Indy, it could just be Star Tours 2 or it could be something completely new.

I find it interesting and rather perplexing that all speculation regarding a replacement of the Indy stunt show involves a copy of the California Indy ride. It is my understanding that this ride is based on the same track system as Dinosaur at AK to the point where guests with experience on both rides have suggested that it is the exact same track configuration, just with different scenery.

I have never ridden the California Indiana Jones ride -- but do have the Disneyland Paris Indiana Jones rollercoaster notched onto my ride card. The roller coaster is done completely in reverse with a loop. It is a rather violent ride that throws the rider around a lot. If the stunt show is to be replaced (and I see no reason for replacing it -- it is a completely different kind of stunt show than LMA) I would much rather see something like the ride from DLRP than DLCA.

I believe that CTX and Indy are the same track and movements. Certainly the opening and ending are identical.

As for the Indy ride in Paris, it gets my vote for worst coaster ever. It was so bad they changed it to backwards - and yet it's worse backwards than it was forwards. It's just painful and punishing, not enjoyable at all. I shuddered at the news that Tokyo's Raging Spirits may be similiar in layout. I hope it's not true.

I wish this rumour would die already!

Yeah but if you put different theming and newer track layout, that's what Screamscape.com said a newer version of it then case closed."It's brand new"!!!! So I expect it to come for sure. Ya know you can have an e-ticket attraction with it also.
