Fushigi?

Does anyone have the Fushigi gravity ball? My DD9 wants one and I'm just wondering if I should get it or not. Worth it or piece of junk?!

My husband, who is a kid at heart lol, has been fussing around with that again. He got a tennis ball to practice, but we saw a real fushigi ball for sale at bed bath and beyond for 20, and we had a 20% coupon!

Just go to their website, it describes alot, including that it is just an illusion and the trick is making it look like it is defying gravity. My boys also wanted one until they read that.

Have her watch the tv commerical closely too. Any "real people" doing it are clearly keeping their fingers on the ball. It is just a matter of how good you are at the illusion. Be sure to point out to her that there are no kids using the fushigi on the tv commercial or the website.

Contact juggling is what they are doing with the Fushigi ball. It is very difficult and takes alot of practice. Look on youtube and you can see videos.

Its a metal ball inside a clear plastic ball. From far enough away it looks like you are really doing it. Close up.....it's junk.

My DD is 10 and has this on her list after playing with it at a slumber party. When I bought it at our local toy store the sales lady had to read me a disclaimer that came up on the register stating "it is recommended for 12 and up and requires alot of practice". I guess they are trying to ward off too many returns.

If you google "contact juggling," you'll get suggestions of cheaper options for people just starting out.

It's not "Junk" It's just a contact juggling ball. If you want to learn contact juggling, that or any other similar ball will do. The fushigi ball does not make is better or easier.
