My Trip Report! Disney and Beyond!!!

Nov. 15 th (Thurs.) we arrived at Disney to check into Disney Cabins @ Fort Wilderness and was pleasently surprised! The cabin was large with a kitchen (which we baked cookies for a late night snack - we went to Walmart on the way to the Resort). It had the most comfortable beds you could imagine (we almost didn't want to wake up!). It also had a pull down bed that pulled down in living/dining room area. It had a front porch that we ate our cookies and juice on (it was pretty late at night, but we were excited).

Nov. 16 (Fri.) we had breakfast at Ohana's with Lilo, Donald, Stitch and Mickey - what a way to kick of the Disney mood. The breakfast was wonderful, with fresh waffles, juice, sausage, bacon, eggs, pinapple bread, cinnamon buns, and all you can eat! We did a parade around the restaurant with the characters and the kids didn't want to leave.

We left and went to the Holy Land Experience which my older kids loved (13,10,6) but the 4 year old was getting bored. We stayed and toured for about 4.5 hours.

We went to the Chip & Dale Campfire at Disney for resort guest and the kids loved roasting marshmellows, singing songs, and making smores. We didn't stay for the movies but went on the boat ride to Magic Kingdom and back to our resort. We watched the fireworks and water light show on the ferry (free fun!)

Nov. 17th (Sat) we went to the Nicklodean hotel and had a nice room with a bunk bed and Queen sized bed. It was nice but not as comfy as the Ft. Wilderness cabins, but all my kids were excited to be at the Nick hotel and we went to the pool! We stayed there running back and forth up and down the slide and they were having a poolside show, we dressed and I sent the kids to the nick at night activity where they got to do the live gameshow Nick at Night Slime Time, make slime, have dinner and play games! We dropped them off at 5-11pm and we took the 4 yr old with us to dinner.

Nov. 18th (Sun) we went to the Diego Live animal show with the kids (they still didn't know about the Disney cruise we were going on but I was soooo excited!!!) They enjoyed seeing the animals and taking pics with Diego, but we had to leave and catch the boat.

We were riding along and saw the sign for Port Canaveral and said to the kids you want to see the Disney ships? My oldest was like 'Why...its just going to make us sad cause we can't go.' We said 'Let's check it out anyway!'...When we got there I turned around and said,'Who wants to go Cruising! Surprise We are heading to the Bahamas!!' the kids jumped up and down and screamed 'Yeahy!'

Nov. 18 th (Sun) 3-Day - Disney Cruise to Bahamas on the Disney Wonder! We started our trip by being annouced, taking our pics and going aboard. Everyone had a backpack with their bathing suites, sun glasses, and changes of clothes. We first went to lunch @ Beach Blanket Buffet, overlooking Port Canaveral. It was 1:30pm and we decided to check out our room to see if it was ready. Not only was it ready but our bags were waiting for us. I unpacked the poster's I bought for our doors, and put a Princess Poster on the girls door and a Pirate Poster on the boy's door. Since it was my oldest son's birthday I called ahead and arranged for his room to be decorated for his birthday and a birthday cake and card was also waiting for him.

- We dressed, swam, and changed
- We danced, laughed and screamed at the Sail Away Party where they blast confetti on Party Goers and all the characters come out.
- The kids went to their camps where the younger ones, had a Luau, played dressup, the oldest went to the 411 session (which is very important) and got the rules and itenary for the big Gotcha Game and Scavenger hunt where they put your kids in teams.
- Hubby Played Bingo, I went to see the show Hercules with my daughters, and my oldest refused to hang out with us as he was having too much fun in the Aloft.
- Ate Dinner at Animator's Palate which is a restaurant that changes colors and pics as you eat.

Nov. 19th (Mon) - The Bahamas and the PIRATE PARTY -- Yahooo!!! My youngest two got sick and I got this stuff from the Bahamas called Gravol that was in liquid form and worked wonders!

- We toured Atlantis, the Bahamas and the Aquarium (it was amazing, except for the 2 sick kids we carted with us)
- Dressed in Pirate attire, after dipping in the pool and eating, took pics with characters, and ate dinner at Parate Cay, where they gave us Pirate head wear for the party (hower my youngest kids were already dressed.)
- Show 'The Golden Mickey's' where they snapped pics of us and interviewed us like we were stars, and played it in the theatre for all to see during the begining of the show
- The younger kids baked cookies, made soap and learned how to be a Pirate from Captain Hook, they watched Peter Pan and Followed Hook and Smie around playing Pirate games.
- My oldest made flubber, played Disney Karoake, did science experiments and had to be dragged to the Pirate Party.

- The Pirate Party was the best, with all the characters decked and dancing, with Mickey coming from above our heads from one part of the boat to another (who did they pay to do that?!) and then ended with a huge FIREWORK Display - Disney is the only cruise ship with permission to do this!

Nov. 20th (Tues) - Cast-Away Cay Disney's Private Island! Paradise....and the cleanest well planned out Island I have ever visited. Its got an adults area, private teen area, private kids clubs area (that is supervised by the counselors - so you can leave your kids and go to the private Adult only beach! for a massage)

- We dropped of the kids in the kids area where they played water games, made sandcastles and had a Carribean Beach Party! We had to drag them out of the club to play on the beach and have family time if it killed us!!!
- Our oldest wanted to stay with the teen group and do the 'Wild Side Tour' so we didn't see him until he got back on the boat.
- My husband and daughter rented bikes, tubes and snokels and went on the paved bike trail through the Island

We ended our last cruse day with
- The kids Graduation from the Oceaner Clubs/Labs
- The Disney Dreams Show...which was great...and pretty much ended our night...
- I dragged the little ones out of their camps, ordered cereal, fruit, and milk fo - breakfast for our departure day...and sadly went to sleep...

Nov. 21st (Wed-Thurs) - We left the ship in 30 min flat, was in the car and on our way to Disney's Port Orleans Resort! The kids were still depressed about the cruise ending, ended the day at the pool at Port Orleans and a Horse Drawn Carraige Ride....then we met some friends for a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast at the Timeshare Resort and

Nov. 22 - 25th (Thurs - Sun) - Daytona Beach!!!! Sunterra Regency Timeshare --- The room was gorgeous and over looked the beach and the street (they were having a Old Time Car Drive By Trot, we got to see some beatiful cars from our balcony every night)...We walked the beach, played in the pool, toasted marshmellows and slept in late. Believe it or not this place is busy Thanksgiving!

Nov. 26th (Sun - Tues) - stayed, swam and played at Bonnet Creek Timeshare Resort ON Disney Property...

- Disney Quest! - Arcade with virtual reality games

- Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! - Christmas Parade, Snow on Main Street, free Cocoa and cookies, 3 Firworks show's and all the rides you want without the crowds for 1/2 the price of daily admission (

- Kid's Pirate Adventure (You kids get 2.5 hours of treasure hunting, eating lunch all supervised for $35 per kid - you leave them and go eat breakfast)

- Animal Kingdom! Mickey's Jingle Jungle Christmas Parade! and new rides ! Everest and Dinasour Adventure!

Nov. 27th - Home and hating it!

Sounds like you had a great time - what a whirlwind tour...I'm tired just reading about it.

We'll be staying at Bonnet Creek in 8 days, so I'd love to see any pics you have and hear what you thought about it. Also, which WalMart did you go to?

Happy holidays!
