Much as I'd like to be all sneaky and mysterious about it and pretend I know somebody who knows somebody in the know, I'm really not THAT special! The VMK data files are wide open for anybody to see. I wrote up an explanation of it here.

Sure, be my guest! Just remember that my list only shows new stuff in the database - there's no guarantee that any of it will ever actually be available to players. There's been stuff in the database for a very long time, such as Skate Shoes, which still isn't available.

Actually, skate shoes are available. They are the pink and white shoes that the girls have. Girls, just take a look in the clothing section under shoes. You'll see them listed for only 25 cr ea.

They've also been talking about this on the "other" boards and a couple people were contacted (by people from vmk) and told to not do this anymore.

Personally, I like to see what may be coming down the road.

That's downright silly of them.

THEY are putting the list of unreleased items into the the data that THEY are sending to OUR computers. It's not like we're "hacking" into their databases; this is information that they are voluntarily sending to our machines.

If we choose to LOOK at the data they send, that's our right. If they don't want us to see it, they don't have to put it into their code until the items are released.

The VMK is a strange and illogical entity. But, who are we to question the VMK?
