Funny T-shirts sayings?

What about making shirts that go with your council or troop. My council is the AZ Cactus Pine council. We made a stencil that was of a cactus and a pine tree and had the girls paint them with the troop number underneath, they came out really cute and we used them a lot.
You can use freezer paper to cut out a pattern and then iron it on the shirts. after the paint is dry the stencil peels right off.

I was going to suggest making your own shirts too! However, I was thinking along the idea of tie-dye..'cuz I can do that and teach people to do that! I LOVE the idea that Dineyluvr suggested...

Back in the late 60s a friend of mine's parents went on a business trip. Her mom bought Mary and her younger sister tee shirts with what she thought was a logo of the airline they flew. They said "Fly United" and had two ducks... well I think you can guess what they were doing. :scared1: LOL. When little Karen came out wearing the tee... the teenage boys in the neighborhood had a field day laughing at the poor kid. Their mom had no clue that the shirt was suggestive. And that was with a graphic on it. Needless to say Babe took the shirts and threw them away.

Nancy :lmao:

I like the S'mores saying.. but you should say SAMOAS! :-P

OK, now I need to go eat some of the Samoa ice cream I have calling my name in the freezer... MMMMMMMMMMM

"Never claimed it as my own, just said I had thought of it for a T-Shirt. No need to get your undies in a wad."

Little defensive? "I thought of this one" implies you thought it up IMO.

Here's a cute t-shirt that say "Happy Camper" with a big smiley face. (Link: http://www.cafepress.com/+happy_camper_camping_kids_light_tshirt,428382854)

Here's another one that says: "Camping Queen" and it has a picture of a tiara and little sparkly jewels around it. It's pretty. (Link: http://www.cafepress.com/+camping_queen_womens_tshirt,433499325)

Oh, one more. "Peace, Love, Camp." The t-shirt has a peace symbol, a heart, and a tent with the words Peace, Love, Camp written underneath them. (Link: http://www.cafepress.com/+peace_love_camp_white_tshirt,248880759)

They're not funny, per se, but they'd be appropriate for Girl Scouts. They're all from Cafe Press and many have coordinating tote bags, sweatshirts, etc.

These are all so cute.

OP how about "Real Girls Go Camping"

I was showing my dd the peace, love. camp shirt (which we ordered for her, thanks themilesfamily) and she came up with one for you OP.

Girl Scouts can do anything Boy Scouts can do, only better.....especially camping.

I wouldn't be very happy if my daughter (who is a Brownie) came home with that. I don't care for the shirts that put others down or say that one group/gender can do something better than another group, even if it's "just joking." To me it's like the "It's my sister's fault" t-shirts I've seen some boys wearing - I just think they are very disrespectful.

Its just a play on the old saying girls can do anything boys can do but I respect your opinion. I happen to think its great and if i still had my GS troop I'd let them make it for themselves.

I know it's based on that phrase, and I actually think that's another part of why I don't care for it. I think it sort of illustrates the way people use to - and some still do - view boys and girls: that girls still have to "fight for" the right to be seen as just as capable as boys. (Disclaimer - I'm really not a raging feminist nor do I look to find sexism in everything, really! I swear, lol!) Just offering a different viewpoint - I always find it so interesting to see all of the different ideas and thoughts here on the Community Board. :flower3:
