Yesterday was my daughters 3rd birthday and the family was all eating dinner together. You see with three boys two who are teens who are 17 and 16 and one who is almost a teen who is 12 we don't have family dinners together a lot. Well my wife was like
wife:My baby girl is growing up
Me: yeah she is already three years old
oldest son Eric: pretty soon were gonna have to start protecting her from the boys she'll be dating
youngest son Mark: yeah, we will. If they lay a hand on my baby sister I'll hurt them
middle son Kyle: you got that right, she gets her looks from me and he attitude from Eric and her hair color from mark so she'll be mad cute.

my sons all love there little sister I'll feel sorry for her when she really does start dating because her dates are gonna have some trouble with her dad and her brothers, but for now she is my little princess

That is soooooo cute. :goodvibes I have two girls 11 and 7 and I talk about how scared I am for them when they start to date only because of their Dad. I can't imagine with 3 way older brothers and a Dad. She is going to have a tough time but she will be so lucky because of it.

I Love that. This is why I would have loved to have older brothers. My son is the baby and my daughter is 12, what he gets from her, is her trying to dress him up :rotfl:

So sweet!! I come from a family with five girls and one boy. He was youngest and rotten. I would have loved to have an older brother. My two are 14 months apart and take care of each other. My husband will be my daughters worst nightmare.

When my niece had her proms he would carry his unloaded gun over to her house and walk in during pictures and ask whos taking my niece to the prom?
It would take a while for them to speak up!! So when it was my nephews turn for the prom....He did the same thing to the girls........It was hilarious. Thank goodness all familys had good sense of humors. He was known as the uncle with the gun!!!!

I am doing my DD birthday party today. Her actual birthday is on Wednesday the 27th but that is the day we are leaving to WDW. :teeth:

Anyway she is turning 8 and my DS is 5 and he is already protective of his sister. I guess it really doesn't matter whether the boy is older or younger. I guess since we, as parents, teach them to love one another and to always stick up for their siblings, it just comes natural for the boy to protect the girl.

Great to have older brothers.

That's great. My mom has 7 brothers. I have a niece now, so those boys better watch out for me. :furious:

My DD (7) has 3 older brothers also, 23, 21 and 10. Since she is 16 years younger than the oldest, he has been after the guys around her since she was 2, telling them they are "on my list" so he can be watching them! The funny thing is, I figure by the time she is ready to date (which might be after college if her dad has his way) he will probably have that problem himself! :goodvibes
