Funny spam email I received

From the IRS saying I'm entitled for a $109 tax refund. All I have to do is fill out some information including my social security number, mother's maiden name, etc.

Amazing - I haven't even filed my taxes yet. Must be my lucky day!!!

Seriously, if you're gonna try and pull a scam like that, maybe you should wait until after people can officially file their tax return.
 
Hey! I got that one too. $109! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.:laughing: Like, if the IRS decided you deserved extra money, they'd send you a blanket e-mail.:confused3 I wonder how many people fall for it though. I didn't click on the link, so I didn't see how much personal information they ask for. You know people will do it. Duh.
 
IRS takes this sort of thing very seriously. If you go to www.irs.gov right in the middle of their Home Page is a link to warnings about SPAM!
