Funny pirate we met at Pirate's Lair . . .

I never posted a trip report, so I am just posting little snipets and pics here and there . . .
But I forgot to mention a funny pirate we met on Pirate's Lair. We were with a big group and this Pirate came by and swiped a water bottle out of a lady's purse and kept walking. She turned around around and he walked back over to her and handed her back her water bottle and said "Oh, here you go, I thought it was a bottle of rum". hehe He then turned to my kids and their cousins and was talking to them -- he was hilarious. We had to get a pic of the kids with him because he was so funny. Right before we took the pic, he said "OK kids, say Whiskey!" Naughty pirate! Then he walked away and said "Whiskey always makes me smile". What a hoot. The funny thing was there was a group of 20 of us and none us adults drink alcohol at all, so our kids were like "mom, what is whiskey??" Ahhh, the things they learn at Disneyland. Just had to share . . .(I promise, no more pics and stories for a while . . . )

That pirate is one of my favorites! He pretended to propose to a woman one time and asked for her ring for himself. :lol:

Oh please keep sharing your pictures and stories. We all love to hear and see about trips. Thats a great pic and story of the pirate on the island. The pirates are one of the main reasons I love going to DL. They really are a riot. I got into it with a pirate last time over the sailing columbia ship. I pointed to the ship and said I am gonna go steal it. He proceeded to say "WHAT MY SHIP?"

Don't want to hijack the OP's thread, but if you wanted more pirate stories, I got 'em.

I was hanging out the other day at Pirate's Lair not doing anything in particular, but just watching Jack Sparrow sign autographs and take pictures. He was so hilarious to the kids, especially this one boy that had a "Transformers" shirt on. He asked what a transformer was, and when the boy answered, he asked if he could transform his ship into an even bigger one... LOL.

I'm sitting by just listening in when he comes over and asked me why I had such strange things on my face, (sunglasses) and if I was spy. I accidentally said I was and he and the handler freaked out together. They asked me what my colors were and what ship I belonged to, I answered, "Your ship...?" The Capitan decided he needed to confiscate my bag, and while he was digging around, found my cell phone and said that it was silly to keep a compass that didn't work or point north. He asked how I trapped a castle in it (my screen saver is the Dis castle) and if I could teach them how. They kept my bag until I asked if the repairs were done. Jack then decided that my broken compass wouldn't even be good to sell, and gave it back.

Best character interaction ever!
