Did everyone who owns BWV get a call from their guide already? Oddly, we haven't -- not that I know of. And I know he has our # because he did call about 2 mos ago (well before all this BWV point sales began). I had been in Orlando on business and stopped in at BWV and BCV to refresh my memory and decide on our next family vacation spot. DVC of course took my name and passed it to our guide, who then immediately called. It was a bit awkward, b/c he spoke to my dh who had zero knowledge of my visit to BWV/BCV that day. I think our guide probably thinks I'm cheating on my spouse now!! IN any case, all the guide asked was if I had questions, to which DH said, "I have no idea if she does or doesn't..." and that was that. But no call to tell us of the add-on potential. And not that we're really able at this time, but still, I would *KINDA* like to know that we matter, and who knows -- maybe I've worked on ol' DH enough he would cave if the guide made it sound good....

Is the call only for folks who were already on a waitlist, or is it being made to all BWV owners? Anybody else not get the call?

Cindy

Cindy -

Depending who your guide is and how long they have been there, the call list might be large. My guide had 60+ calls left to make when I spoke to her Wednesday. They just may not have gotten to you. She told me it was waitlist first, than current owners, than general public.

Hope this helps
Sandy

My guide is Jim (McCoy I think). Amazingly the same guide my sister has (by fluke, not even recommendation! Just kinda happened that way). Anybody else have Jim and BWV, and if so, have you gotten the infamous call???

Don't count on getting a call. My guess is the ones doing it are doing so on their on. You should call your guide if you're interested.

My guide said she had about 1,000 DVC clients; that's a lot of phone calls to make. I also think you should call your guide and let him know that you're interested in adding on.

I took the initiative and called my guide. He SEEMED pretty happy to hear from me, but he may just have a nice voice;)

I own at BWV and haven't received a call, I really didn't expect to. I've never had a call from a guide since I bought in 1999. My original guide is gone and I've received some promotional mail from a new guide but no calls. I figured it was because I've never expressed an interest in adding on.

Guides are not likely to call once your sale is final. Some do, most don't. When you are interested in something it is usually up to you to initiate contact.

Wow, I'm surprised! Our guide sends us birthday cards for all 3 of us, an anniversary card and Christmas presents. He even sent my daughter a park hopper pass for each "A" she has received in school. She is in third grade and has received "A's" in each subject for every year. Also, he has offered to keep our pets (1 dog & 2 cats) when we go to WDW, instead of placing them in a kennel for 10 days.;) :jester:

My guide has never called us on his own, but he is good at returning calls. We have added on 3 times since our original contract in 2000. I don't think we will call to add on this time, butif he called us, and with a little arm twisting...who know! ;)

Now that's what I call customer service!

I was not on the wait list for BWV add-on and my guide called us this last Monday because we have a August use year and he said he was calling the Aug people first. We never use our guide before because we bought a resale (1 st contract for us) at BWV.
Our guide does send info on things that are going on with sales.

If your going to add-on, you should call your guide, don't wait.:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

We've done 6 add ons and I called my guide the minute I heard. Don't think I've ever had a call from our guide. But the stuff they send in the mail has always prompted us to call. She always promtly returns my calls and is excellent to deal with and I guess the no calls initiative is good because I hate the guilt and pressure when someone asks me to buy something.

My guide has never called and I really don't expect him to unless I call him.

That is part of the "Disney" charm. They don't keep trying to sell you once you bought. I have a friend who owns a timeshare and she claims the company calls once a month with a new "GREAT" offer for them to buy another timeshare. Thank goodness we don't get that!
