I'm so jealous! Our building was used all summer for other schools' programs as well as ours, so our custodians are overloaded with work. As of right now, teachers can't get in until we start next Monday. My DH always comes in to help me move furniture and get the bare bones in place. Then I work for days making it fun and welcoming for my kindergartners. Instead of setting up my classroom, I will be sitting in boring meetings while I fantasize about working in my room. The administration will expect our rooms to be fabulous, but they are tying our hands behind our backs making it impossible to deliver.

Oh my goodness, I feel for you.

We have access to classrooms starting beginning of August. My DH helps me move heavy stuff. We then both help each other set up and organize, so we are ready for first day of school.

Try not to stress! We teachers always seem to get it done!
