I at the moment have one of the containers filled with safety pins. It was my grandmas.

I have one that's empty because, I don't have sewing supplies. I can't seem to throw it away, but it just sits there in the cabinet doing nothing and will never do anything, LOL.

That said, I have a lined trash can next to the couch under a table which is a grocery bag lined Christmas popcorn tin. It at least has a use.

With an Android and Google Home you can do this. My wife asks google where her phone is and it starts ringing, at least once a week.
