last night Dh and I had a conversation about if we were really doing the right thing not asking again if we could get permission to fly for saturday from Cams consultant!! I mean the No was nearly 2 weeks ago and so we decided we owed it to ourselves to ask again a.k.a grind the medics down with nagging 
To cut a long story short this morning dd cold had got worse and she was struggling to catch a breath between coughing fits. I rang nhs direct who told em she had swine flu but she was too poorly for Tamiflu and would need to see a dr asap !! Well you can imagine i was panic stricken all sorts going through my head - where the hell was Cam going to live if Keira had swine flu ??? what would we do if he also caught it ???
The drs surgery were refusing to see her because we had a diagnosis of swine flu and it was only when i said her lips were turning blue and i would call an ambulance if i was allowed to see a gp that they relented and let me take her to the surgery and it turned out she didnt have swine flu at all but a chest and ear infection which was restricting her air entry to one of her lungs !! She has a handful of meds and seems brighter.
I also had to go and collect Cam from school as he was complaining he felt unwell and had fell asleep on the floor in the office I never got round to phoning the hospital to nag but I have just thought Fate didnt want us to take this trip and imagine how much we would be stressing now if we had booked the flights properly 3 weeks ago
so yeah funny how fate intervenes and we have to give up on the idea of a quick break this month but somehow after today I feel that thats how its meant to be !!
