Funny Disney Visa offer

After reading the threads on the new FTP available only to new visa holders with the special code, I had to post my offer today. In the mail I got an offer that, if I applied and was approved for a Disney Visa, I would receive.....a free year's renewal on my subscription to Disney Magazine!!!

Given that I know I can get a year's subscription for $10.00 or less through some outlets, I fell on the floor laughing. Put it this way... do they really believe that I if I have resisted all of their attempts to get this silly card till now, that I will suddenly jump at this magazine offer? Disney is crazier (or more desperate for new cardholders) than I thought. Hmmm....not only is there a vast difference in how they treat existing cardholders vs. new cardholders (evidence the FTP offer) there is also a HUGE difference in the offers they make to potential card holders. Would I be likelier to fall for the FTP offer which could save me a couple hundred bucks, or the magazine offer that could save me $10? Please, Disney, think this through before you send me any more card offers.

I kinda like Disney's silly card. I got to take $27 off the cost of 2 FL resident Play 4 passes. I'm still charging away instead of writing checks or using debit card so I will have more money to apply to the cost of upgrading to FL resident seasonal passes in May.
