Funniest pet names?

We have 2 chocolate labs who were litter mates. Their names are Maggie May & Lula Belle. Then a pink beta fish named Jeffrey & a red beta named Ruby

We are soon to be proud owners of a beagle puppy. The three girls are called Jasmine, Poco (from Pocahontas), and Nemo. I am uncertain as to the boys name.

Our beagle will be Nemo. The reason is her tail.

I had a cat named Mushy when I was growing up, it's Danish for Kitty. She got hit by a car.

Then I had Mr. Pudge, who was a Manx cat.

Then I had Petey, a cat, better known as Peteykins, or Pete Pete, among a lot of other names that were randomly made up. I lost my Peteykins this past March and he was almost 21 years old.

Currently, I have Buddy. Original. However, he was a homeless (not feral, he doesn't act feral at all, I think he was abandoned) cat that I fed for a year and then he showed up injured. So we got him fixed and took him in. I called him Buddy like 'friend' and when we brought him to the vet to be fixed I decided that was his name. So officially he is Buddy O'Malley (after Thomas O'Malley, the alley cat! :)).

I had a dog as a teen named Callie but once she got her license and rabies tags her name quickly changed to Tink. I even changed her license name and at the vet, so it was official. Sometimes referred to Tinkerbell, Stinkerbelle, Stink Dog.

My friend has a dog and his name is Tosh or Toshi. I love that and him! My sister had a cat named Mr. Box after the Jack In the Box commercial where Jack was called Mr. Box.

Our cat is "Maybe"...

You know.. "Call Me Maybe". It kept playing when we were trying to decide..

I have a min pin named Pooh. She was named Minnie Pearl originally by my ex's grandmother, she gave Pooh to us after only having her a few weeks because she just wasn't ready to care for a puppy so soon after her husband died. We were trying to think of a new name and called her Minnie the Pooh while trying to decide and she started answering to Pooh. It stuck, we always told people that was her name because she was such a little S&!t! lol I also have a min pin named Kiowa (named after the helicopter, we call her Ki) and a pit mix named Kady.

My nephew and his family had 2 cats named MeowNow and MeowLater (not sure of the story behind the names or even how they spelled them). One was nice and one wasn't but I could never remember which was which. One died (the mean one), but they still have the nice one (whichever one that is).

They also used to have a white German Shepherd they got at Christmas, so they named him Saint, after Saint Nicholas.

During my ironic phase in college I had 2 goldfish

LFG-little fishy guy
LSD-little swimming dude

When I graduated they moved to a preschool classroom. They were big goldfish after 4 years.

The cat pictured on the left is Mini Cooper Karr. He's from a shelter but we decided he needed a fancy name. Pre adoption name was Jackson (not bad but too close to other cats name).

Our older cat is Jacques Thekatz or jack the cat if you are Not as cosmopolitan. He responds to Jack or Thekatz. His pre adoption name was peanut. Since he weighs more than my 2.5 year old-clearly he's not a peanut. He has 200 lbs of personality and really should have been a dog.

My cat is Lila; but my nieces call her Fatty McCatty. Because, we'll, she's on the chubby side.

My Springer Spaniels registered name is Charlies little pain in the Shrek. We just call him Charlie ;) My dad use to have a dog named Nipper (it was fitting) but they usually just called him poophead.. but used a different word for poop.. I'm sure you can figure that out.

My cat has a human name. She's Samantha. We adopted her when I was 7 and I am pretty sure she got her name because I desperately wanted the American Girl doll Samantha. (I did get the doll eventually :lmao:) I think I wanted to name her Princess at first, but it didn't stick. I do call her princess quite often, though. (She's a bit of a diva...) I usually call her Sam or Sammy or Pretty Girl or Good Kitty.... She answers to just about everything!

Three of my various coworkers' cats have hilarious names. There's Zorak (no idea where that came from, but it sounds like a cat's name!), Nomew (a very quiet cat!) and Mr. Marty Feldman.

My two black kitties are almost identical. My grand daughter named them Shadow and Midnight, but I call them Tic and Turd or Frick and Frack depending on my mood. They are probably so confused.:)

I have two german shepherds Harley Barley and Bella Kona and our kitty-Gizmo (aka-Kitty Momo) My previous dog whom my mother in law has now taken ownership of a Dachshund Named Reese, and my most unusual pet name...The outside kitty who has taken residence in our yard whom I have named Dark Vader (he is all black) :thumbsup2

Many years ago we saw a kitten laying in the street after being hit by a car. Both DH and I commented on it when we got home from work. The next day, I heard a kitten crying under a parked car and it was the same kitten! I coaxed him out, nursed him back to health and named him Lazarus, since he truly seemed to come back from the dead. The name really fit him!

We recently had a St. Bernard that the rescue named Tankerbelle, because she was much more TANK than Tink. So her nickname was Tank. It fit.

We also have a cat that we couldn't think of a name for. But he was the "new cat" and that is what we kept calling him - therefore, Nukat became his name. Really odd now since he has been here probably 8 years and is no longer the "new cat".

We named our pug Puglo Picasso. His funny puppy face made it the perfect name and ten years later people still laugh when they meet him :)

I rescued a kitten at work. She was in a stack of pallet. Yep you guessed it my daughter named her Pallet. Pallet Marie to be exact. She got Marie from the Aristocats.

The first dog we got when my DS was little was a black lab/rottie cross. He named her Racket :confused3 but she had a multitude of nicknames: Woofy, Woofy Gold-dog, woopster. We mostly called her Woofy

My first german shepherd's registered name was Devle Spawn Zelda (her daddy was Daredevle)

Our black lab now is Precious Jett or "Jetty" and the puppy in my siggy is Tikka whose current nickname is "little sh**" :) She should have been named "Devle Spawn" - Daredevle is her granddad and she certainly is more of a devil than Zelda ever was!

It is so funny that we are giving the names of our pets, yet saying what we really call them! How typical!

Blue is called Boo, ****oo, or ****ula, depending, at times.

Hahaha! I see the Disboards disagrees with her name. Boo Boo, Boo-bula.

I used to work for a veterinarian who rescued a neurologic kitten who had been hit by a car. She would walk in circles a lot. The veterinarian named her 'Squash"!

We named our Cavalier Rustle! When we brought him home in October we let him down and he started to roll around in the leaves!
If we get another male we need to think of a good name that's a verb! Chase? Dash? Maybe Kneel!
