Great thread!

We made our first trip in May(me, DW, DS10, DD's7,4,1). This might be one you had to be there for, but at AK, DW and DD7 were getting ready to go on Dinosaur while the rest of us waited. DS10 said "if mom thinks it's scary, I might go on it, but if Allison(his 7 year old sister) think's it's scary, I'm definitely NOT going on it."

It was funny because it's not every day you see a 10 year old boy freely admit that his little sister is far braver than he is.

Now that is cute! :flower:

Sorry guys my post was a quote of someone who posted on page 21 of this thread...and it made me feel so sad that i just replied to it....

Anyway THANK YOU MYSTERIA, you made me feel much better!!!

Now I can relax and laugh again at the " Hey squirrel you didn't sign my book." line. :rotfl2:

When we were in line for BTMR I heard a kid ask his mom, "What's a cast member?" and the mom replied, "I think that's what they call someone who works here."

Just funny to me because it was obviously their first Disney trip!

Also funny to go on Pirates with two couples who have never been on it and are "ooohing" and "ahhhing" about everything..."Oooh, oooh, did you see that? How about that over there? That is so real!"

Okay, I don't have a funny comment, but how about a funny look?

In 1984, while living in Tampa and finnishing up my college degree, I came down with mono. My folks came down from CT for graduation and really wanted to go to WDW. I was still too weak to walk around the parks all day, so we rented a wheelchair. It was an interesting experience to see how people looked at me, because there wasn't anything obviously "wrong" with me.

As we were getting ready to leave Epcot for the night, I had to visit the rest room. As my husband wheeled me up, there was an older man sitting on a bench waiting for someone. He gave me a sad, sympathetic look. My husband said to me, "Hurry up, we need to get on the road." So I jumped out of the wheelchair - and looked over to see an expression of pure shock on the old guy's face! I expected to see in the paper the next day, "Miracle Healing at Disney World!" It was a riot!

Haha, The first time I went to Disney World I was 6. I was in love with Simba so I bought a Simba backpack at a shop in Epcot. I brought it along with me every day during the trip. Well, the day we went to MGM I was way to scared to go on TOT so I took the 'chicken out' elevator. The Disney worker who was in the elevator was trying to talk to me, and he told me that he liked my WINNIE THE POOH backpack. Being 6, I just gave him a weird look. But come ON, if you work at WDW you should know the difference between Simba and Pooh...

One of my favorite comments was made by DD who was 6 at the time. We get on the bus to go to a water park for the first time. We arrive at the water park and she annouces to the whole bus look we are at Typoon Galoon.
She got a few chuckles for that. To this day we still call it Typoon Galoon and she is 11 now.

Also my DD at 6 called the monorail the bestest ride ever and to this day wants to say at CR everytime we go to Disney. The monorail is still her favorite ride the RnRC runs a close second.

Don't feel bad....we were snowed in all day yesterday....now you are getting the same storm.
So Threads like this kept me entertained all day!! :earboy2:
Now just waiting for DH to finish clearing the drift out of the drive.

So I will add one of my stories.

Our first visit with DD, 1998, she was 7....the first day we went to MK, and the next morning it was raining, but hot, so she had her bathing suit on and playing in the rain at the resort. I was video taping her and asked her what her favorite ride was so far....
As she was dancing in the rain......she replied...."I LOVED the Captains of the Canopy!! " She was talking about Pirates of the Caribean!
So we still call it "Captains of the Canopy" :earboy2:

My son called it "Captains of the Carivean" forever. And he called It's a small world, "Itsy Bitsy Small World" :rotfl2: oh and Minnie Mouse is still Mrs. Mouse or "mickeys girlfriend" to him. I don't know why he cant' remember her name.

That's so funny. I asked my DS5 and Dnephew2 1/2 what their favorite ride was that day at the MK, to which they both replied, the Monorail.

omg last time we were staying at pop century at went on a midnight chocolate cake run (there sooooo good) so we were in the line and there were these 2 boys in fron of me and my mom and they didn't understand english (there from iceland or something) and the lady was like what are you saying and they were buying a pizza so my mom tried to tell what they were saying no luck so finally they got an interperter and the guy who interperted said they already paid so the lady goes "Then what are you doing here!". it was pretty funny and then theres the time where we go lost trying to find our room and were scared that some dude would grab us oh i know annother

It is really an experience so i was on space mountain and was terrified and when i got the first row lets say i wanted to run out of there but i didn't cuz then i wouldn't get a present so when i started screaming it got to the point where the lady behind me asks if im okay i was sooo embarressed and like at the end the guy was like are you ok im lik i don't feel good but my aunt was all happy. that was a pretty funny

oh just remembered when i was like 8 we were coming off big thunder mountain railroad and this kid who was a teenager said reaaallly load "I Wet My Pants" and his pants were soaked it was sooo funny

When we were going into Mickey's Philhar Magic, my very impatient sister thought that we wouldn't fit onto the row, so she jets down to the front. Me and DS jsut stayed put and there was plenty of room, the line was just moving slow. well this lady and her DD sat down beside us and she was so loud the whole time. She kept singing loud, and when Flounder came on the screen, she said to her dd: "look it's NEMO!!" and then when tink came on at the end she said: "THUMBALEEENA!" I teased my sister about leaving and making us be tortured listening to this lady the whole show.

ok this one came from me last year.
we were stood in the philarmagic queue, had just got inside the building where you snake round the line.I saw this guy head to toe in tattoos of disney characters, and then i remembered seeing his website a few months earlier.I completely lost it,turned to mum and said very loudly,"LOOK IT'S THE DISNEY TATTOO GUY!!".Of course he heard me and i was mortified that i had been so loud about it!We had to pass by him every few minutes in the line and i just wanted to die of shame-mum was hysterically laughing at this point because i was soooo embarassed.Wish now that i had spoken to him bout his tattoos. So disney tattoo guy,hey there!so sorry for being such a british dork!! :rotfl:

My goodness... truer words were never spoken! LOL
But I think the one about carrying toddlers is also very true. LOL

On our June trip this year DD and I could hardly contain our laughter when a goup of Very large ladies charged by us at Magic Kingdom with the front lady shouting at the top of her lungs " Where is them bumper cars? I wanna ride them bumper cars!"
For the rest of the trip and still today we laugh about "them bumper cars". :rotfl2:
