Let me preface this by saying I HATE ROLLERCOASTERS and always have. Anyway when I went in January I had promised my 8 y/o GD I would ride whatever she and her dad did. We rode BTMR several times, as it immediately became her favorite ride. I decided it wasn't that bad. Thankfully she never asked to ride SM and also missed the one at MGM. I went back solo in May and decided I was going to get over my fears once and for all. I decided to start small and build up. I rode BTMR a couple times and did fine. I then made my way over to SM. I wanted in the middle, but unfortunately wound up in the front seat with some 5-6th graders behind me. I asked if one of them wanted to ride in the front, but was turned down. Right after we took off I knew this wasn't a good idea and started thinking "it's just 2 minutes, it's just 2 minutes'. Unfortunately it didn't help that the kid behind me was yelling 'I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die' continuously and the kid behind him was yelling 'I can see my hometown, I can see my hometown, and we're all gonna die'. Needless to say I never made to the rollercoaster at MGM. Oh well, maybe when I go back in Sept.
