Funniest comments you've overheard in WDW

If I had a nickel for every time I heard someone refer to the Magic Kingdom as Disney World......

I've been to WDW over 50 times and I often refer to MK as Disney. It's a habit that's hard to break and I see no reason to change. MK/Disney was all there was until the early 80s. Just got back today as a matter of fact and we did go to Disney a couple of times. It was the least crowded I've ever seen it the night after the full marathon. I've never seen so many people hobbling around! There was absolutely no one in line at Cosmic Rays. I've never seen that before and it was 6:30!

we just got back and we heard someone saying as we walked past dumbo. "she wants to go on dumbo again, she's got dumbo fever!" we thought it was so funny.

also i think that everyone in disney does not have any clue about geography. on 3 different occasions we heard people saying wrong things about where countries and states were located. we were laughing so hard.

Overheard on the Epcot monorail from a teenaged girl:

"You mean Epcot's a theme park? I thought it was all in the big ball!"

My DBFF#1 said the same exact thing (she is going to kill me for posting this, btw). We're headed to WDW next Saturday and both she and DBFF #2 have never been. So I was telling them about everything and preparing them for the different parks and she looks at me and goes, "Wait...so Epcot is not all in the sphere?"

"No."

"Oh. Too bad. I mean, I'm still going to love it...but I was kind of excited about an entirely indoor park."

And two others from DL

1. We had taken DBFF #2 to DL in May of 2006 (it was her first Disneypark EVER). Well everything is fine...we get there at opening...grab a croissant in the Main Street Bakery and get right on Indy, POTC, and HM and then head towards Critter Country. Well right before we get to Splash Mountain she just stops and stares at me. I'm confused and looking at her, trying to figure out what is going on and she responds "Holy C**p, I'm in Disneyland!" Apparently the excitement took a while to process. (She is just as excited about this trip and has told EVERYONE who will listen how we are having breakfast with Winnie the Pooh -- my friends and I really are still 5 when it comes to Disney).

2. That same trip we decided that we were going to be "Team Pirate". There were five of us going and each one of us had a shirt that had something to do with POTC -- be it the original ride or the movies. Well, we NEVER expected the attention it would get us. And all we were doing was wearing shirts. People in line kept commenting that we looked awesome and CM's struck up conversations with us in almost every line.

Earlier in the day on its a small world as the boat was getting ready to leave, the CM operating the controls looked at us and then in the microphone said, "For those of you in the back row, I'm afraid today is not your day." We all look at her confused until we realized she was talking about the fact the POTC was closed for renovations at this time.

Then later, going into the Winnie the Pooh ride we even had the CM watch three of us pass and then catch on to the theme and make us come back to join the other two so he could see us all together. He then preceeds to take off his hat and do a "Jack Sparrow" bow to us all. Turns out POTC was his normal ride and due to the renovation he had been temporarily reassigned.

Needless to say, we're taking the shirts with us this time too.

Two from my weekend trip

As I was leaving Epcot I hear a man tell his SO "I thought that they took the ball down!"

and from AK a couple standing on the bridge looking at EE and then at a map. Husband points at EE and says "What's that" Wife looks at map and says "It's the dinosaur ride." I laughed all day about that one.

And from my trip in September. (sorry if it's a repeat but I still think it's funny) Standing watching Wishes and a man turns to his wife/girlfriend and says "Ya' know these fireworks would be great if that castle wasn't in the way." She gave him that "You're a total idiot" look. I did this :lmao: for the rest of Wishes

This one was more adorable than cute. We were in line for Mickey Bars and Popcorn on Tuesday (I miss it already!!) and there was a family in front of us -- with a 3/4 year old in a stroller. Her dad hands her mom the Mickey bar and she looks up at him and says "do you have to finish your dinner before you eat that?" I craked up.

My favorite from our trip last weekend was enough to make me start crying. :lmao:
DH and I were walking in front of the World Showcase Lagoon, headed toward FW. There was a woman walking with what looked like her older children, late teens, early 20s. They were discussing fireworks and shows, and she points out at the middle of the lagoon, and says "Yeah, and then at night the water out here dances to music."
I told DH, in my best little kid whiny voice "why haven't we been able to see that?"

long story short a little girl was hanging off of the center divider on monorail after many attempts to get her to stop the mother told her that if she did not stop she would tell nana that she was mis-behaving well the llittle girl answered back with " I will tell nana that I saw you kissing daddy's pee-pee ):rotfl2: . Dh and myself almost died we could barely contain our laughter. we felt so bad for that mother and husband, they got off at the next stop im sure because of embarresment not becuase it was there stop ;)

I know! I started reading this post ....

And was really worried at first, because I was AT Epcot last weekend with my older children was REALLY hoping it was not me I was going to be reading about.:rotfl2:

I was at EPCOT yesterday, walking from my car to the tram, there were 3 college age kids walking in front of me. One looks at the other two and says
" ALRIGHT.. DrinkCOT hre we come"

Well, I think there are plenty of "older than college" aged kids on here who would agree. I've just never heard Epcot called that. I think we have a new nickname for Epcot!:rotfl::drinking:

I just spit my water ALL over!!! LOL :rotfl:

They were probably college program kids! :)

I can't think of anythign funny off the top of my head...except at the Disney Store where I work I once overheard a guy telling his son that 'this place was started by a man Walt Disney. His head was frozen when he died'. I nearly laughed out loud! :lmao:

One of the funniest things I've heard at WDW was an interaction between my dh and a castmember at Test Track. On our first trip, we had to do a lot of baby swapping because the 2 youngest could not ride any of the "thrill" rides. We get to test track and my dh and our then 5 yo were going to ride first. We were trying to decide where I would wait with the youngest two. My dh kept telling me that when it was world of motion there were neat things to do inside and surely that didn't take out the whole thing just to put in the ride. I kept arguing that I was pretty sure that the world of motion stuff wouldn't be there. So, my dh goes up to the cast member and asks if they displays from world of motion were still in the building. Of course, the cast member says, "No sir, this is an entirely different ride from world of motion." My dh then asks him why they took out everything and the cast member in a very slow and exaggerated voice says, "Well sir, they had to remove world of motion so that they could put in this ride that you are trying to ride now. Both rides wouldn't fit." He was also looking at my dh as if he had a second head. I was too busy laughing at dh. I still tease my dh about it.

:confused3 Why are husbands stubborn over the most stupid stuff and end then end up looking silly?? This sounds exactly like something my DH was do! :lmao: So I feel you "pain"!!
