Funkiest thing you have done SINCE joining DVC

We've done a lot of backstage tours: Hidden Treasures of Epcot, Garden Tour during F & G, Yuletide Decorations (3 hr one), Backstage Safari (2x), Keys to the Kingdom, Segway at both Epcot and Fort Wilderness, Discoveries of Future World, and most recently Wild Africa Trek.

But DVC let us stay CL at AKL and do both Sunrise and Sunset Safaris twice!

And in November we get to bring our first grandchild to the Treehouses. What could be better than that?

Easy. Took DD and 6 of her friends for her Sweet 16. Stayed in a Grand Villa at the Boardwalk

I didn't see you and your family on a Travel Channel special did I? Or maybe it was a Disney DVC DVD. The family on that marketing piece said they yelled MERRY CHRISTMAS (or was it Happy New Year) to all the passersby very early in the morning.

Stayed at BLT my home resort which after having ridden through the contemp. since I was 6 and never thinking I'd be able to stay there, it was definitely a big moment.

Well we are about to be empty-nesters so I am hoping for some future funky trips sans children!

Believe me, Bob, that WILL happen. WDW trips are wasted on children. You're about to embark upon the best time of your life. Enjoy!

We have yet to take a trip since becoming members, but we are taking our parents, grandparents, siblings, and more as our guests this fall for our anniversary celebration. I know it's not "funky" but something we never would have been able to do without DVC!

Also, I just booked a friend and myself for a weekend at AKV for F&W/5K in September!

I think that's so great and something that I think for me will be a wonderful aspect of being a DVC member. (Just joined in January.) I'm hoping to treat DS and his family to a stay at the THVs next year.

Met the "Wishmeister". Who knew he existed?

Meeting the Wishmeister is an experience I hope I can forget. Two hours of my life I will never get back.

Got home from that trip and realized that I had to quit my awful job. Instead of planning to leave at the end of 2010, DH (the best husband in the world ) suggested I leave mid-December so that we could go back to WDW!

So, we booked 5 nights at SSR in 12/10. We went to MVMCP, saw the Osborne Lights, and saw some of the special holiday people at Epcot. My birthday is in early December, so I wore my button the entire trip. We participated in the Christmas Tree sharing too. Having 2009 and 2010 points given to us when we joined made 2 trips 5 months apart possible.

Pre-DVC, we were a go-only-in-the-summer family, as DH is a college instructor with a different spring break than our children's school. Now, we bought annual passes (for our 12/10 and 6/11 trips), and I am trying to figure out a Thanksgiving Week trip for 2013!
