Funie Steed Road ?

Can you access Funie Steed Road from Encantada? I did a search but none of the info was very recent and when I looked at google maps it doesnt look like you can but I also dont know how recent that picture is (the picture of my own neighborhood on google maps is about 5 years old). We are interested in a couple of townhomes in that neighborhood for our trip in June but I hesitate if the only way to Disney is on Irlo Bronson and Funie Steed seems like a much better way to go! I'm 99% sure that you can't get on Funie Steed from Encantada. We stayed in Emerald Island and Sunset Lakes this year and drove past that section many times and there is no access road. There's a wall the whole length of that side of Funie Steed and it is on a higher elevation than the road itself.
I don't think you'll have a problem on 192 (Irlo) but you can also jump on the 429 toll road exit that's on 192 just east of Encantada. Go north and the first exit is for The Western Way which will take you into Disney. You come out by Coronado Springs Resort. The 429 is not busy at all but it will cost you a $1. toll.

Thanks for the infor it really helps! I think you also told me about another shortcut on black lake road to sherbeth? I'm sure the difference from encantada and windsor hills is only a few minutes but when we have stayed at hotels in the area Irlo Bronson was always a nighmare and we are from Chicago so we are used to traffic but hate dealing with it on vacation

We have stayed at WH and Windsor Palms and used the 192 and Sherbeth Road. We never had a problem with traffic even at Christmas - it seemed to keep moving. (Maybe we were lucky?)

We also drove on Black Lake road a few times when coming out of the parks and going to the Publix or Super Target that is near where it brings you out.
