I WONDER when the last time two disers from the california boards got together had a first date and fell in love? i wonder who the last two were.....

I'm pretty new here too so I don't know That would be cool to know, though Do a lot of DIS peeps on the 8 gazillion other forums here find their mates on the board? I don't know a thing about the other forums! Every once in awhile I'll click on one and get totally overwhelmed

RECAP!

A trip down memory lane with Matt and Sara:

It all started a month and a half ago on a fine summer day (Shelly is probably humming “memories” by Barbara Streisand right now). I put out my thread on how I disliked RFC, and he posted that I was part of the problem and I was just like the other PAP’ers. That same day, he just happened to be in another thread that I was also posting in, some comment was mad on age and 5 min later In my pm box I received my first pm from skiingfast (matt). He wrote “no I really am close to your age, I just turned 33”.. And well before that frankly I thought he was a punk teenager trying to get a rise out of me. Disgusted by his comment in my RFC thread I could not figure out why someone like him was writing me a pm about his age. But alas I did not want to be rude so I did reply back… and that day (and ten days after it) has probably changed his life and my life for the better……

Then and now:

..And so to fast forward to the present (After all the millions of emails and phone calls every night), matt and I have now made it to the time we finally will be meeting face to face because Tonight is the night!!!!! And I have to say although I am super calm right now, I am super duper excited with a touch of nervous-ness mixed in.

Matt called me last night at 11 pm; he made it to his hotel! I think I need to thank my lucky stars that he made it safe! He was so excited to be here and staying near Disneyland! A lot of you have been our friends through this journey, and I want to thank you all for your support! And so I can’t believe he and I pulled it off, that this day has finally come!!!!! I know you all want a trip report—I don’t know if that will happen, but I will at best try and let you know all the things we do and see for the next 4 days!

Anyhow guys, thank you all for your support and thanks for being such great friends!!

…..so I am sure you all are eagerly waiting on the edge of your seats to find out how the date went with skiingfast(matt)…..

Well…


IT ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole night was just perfect! Perfect date, perfect night! We saw world of color, he loved it! it was gorgeous ( I have photos!). He was the perfect gentleman!! And it did not seem one bit uncomfortable at the least! Well expect for the fact that I was soo nervous that when I gout out of my car I was shaking, and light headed and almost puked! We had the world of color picnic meals, they were very good! I cannot wait to see him tonight, in fact today I get to see him twice as he is picking me up for a lunch date today from my office which is 10 min from Disneyland park, OVERALL I am just VERY excited to see him again, and I have never met anyone like him and yeah I think I will keep him!!
