Day 2 -
Chip - 12, future Michael Phelps, very responsible big bro
Doug - 9, always along for the ride, easy to please
Ernie - 5, full of curiosity and t-r-o-u-b-l-e
We fell asleep a little after 1 a.m. We decided to sleep in and not hit MGM as originally planned. I am at WDW and for some reason, my body will NOT sleep in. I set the wake up call for 7 a.m. Maybe that's what did it? I hold the receiver up to the 5 year old's ear so he can hear the babbling Stitch and Ernie doesn't budge. Apparently his body has no problem sleeping in on his first full day at Disney. Whatever!
I leave sleeping dogs (boys) lie and dash down to the food court for breakfast. A lot of sugar is what these boys need to get moving. I return with 2 chocolate chip pancake plates and two kiddie waffle plates. The smell of breakfast gets them out of bed and we decide (I TELL THEM) that we are going to AK. We must be weird cuz we don't really like the Safari and since that is why everyone shows up to do at 9 a.m., we feel like it'll be ok not to be there right at park opening time.
We eat pancakes in bed (wahoo) then head to AK.
We head to Dinoland and there are no lines! We ride Triceratops Spin twice,
, we wait while Chip hits Dinosaur
and Doug rides Primevil Whirl. Little Ernie is just an inch shy of the height restriction. Thats ok. We'll get it next time!
We watch Tarzan Rocks, take a photo of the new coaster for Dad
then head for the hotel.
We drop off the stroller then catch a bus for DTD to watch Revenge of the Sith. I get the boys each a cool pack (3 trays of junk food - $18). Cookies for dinner last night, candy and slushies for lunch. We are on a ROLL! The movie was incredible. We browsed some shops and stopped by guest relations to say HI! to a CM that I have met here on the boards. Nice meeting you in person!!
We take a bus back to the hotel and the kids swim in the piano pool for half an hour. A quick change and we are off to MK. Noone is hungry - must have been the delicious lunch of junk and junk that filled them up all day.
It is 7:30 when we get to MK and people are lining up along Main Street for Spectro at 9 p.m. We get a FP for Peter Pan, do Philharmagic, Snow White, IASW, Peter Pan, Buzz and TTA. We meet and greet Minnie, Donald & Goofy in Toontown, do Haunted Mansion then head for the exits. Wishes starts as we are squeezing through the crowds on Main Street.
Chip holds my hand while I walk backwards videotaping. That's not touristy, is it? The bus cue is FULL. We wait 2 busses and get standing room only. Thankfully, someone gives up a seat so little Ernie can sit.
As I'm holding on, I notice the little boy sitting next to me. This little guy must have touched, wiped, tasted and rubbed into everything and everyone at MK today. Poor little guy was filthy and he was intent on making me just as dirty. He had licorice ropes which he twirled and smacked me with for the 14 minute bus ride. The dad would tell him to stop then the kiddo would drop them on the floor. Dad would say don't eat that and the little guy would climb off of his seat, pick them up, put them in his mouth then twirl and hit me with them some more. Longest 14 minutes of my life! AAAHHHH!!!
We ate dinner at the food court tonight after MK but I was so tired, I can't even remember what we ate.
Tomorrow we are checking into the Yacht Club and the boys don't know yet! Shhh!
