You can pick up a list of all the Hidden Mickeys in the resort at the front desk when you check in- I never have found them all!
My very favorite thing to do at the lodge is to head down to the hot tub after a long day at the parks. Looking up at the lodge against the night sky is absolutly beautiful! If you time it right, you can hop out of the hot tub and grab a spot on the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pagent.
Closely tied for my favorite thing to do is to stop by Roaring Forks and pick up one of their *fantastic* brownies (get the ones with frosting, they're the best!) and a milk, and curl up on the sofa in front of the fireplace on the 4th floor (there are fireplaces on the 5th, 6th, and of course in the lobby, too, but the 4th is my favorite!) Its so relaxing to sit back and read or catch up on notes for a trip report. Sit back, drink in the atmosphere, listen to the lobby music, its wonderful!
You can also wander over to the DVC WL Villas, right next door. There's not a lot to explore if you arent staying there, but its kind of neat just to check out the room by the entrance with all of the railroad memorabilia (The Iron Spike room, I think?)
Above all, really take time to explore! There are spots where you can step out onto a balcony and gaze across the lagoon towards the MK, little sitting areas tucked away here and there, and details everywhere you look!
Have a great trip, and if you need extra company, you know where to find me!
