Fun Table Service Restaurants for Kids

I’m taking my soon-to-be 8-year-old daughter to WDW on a girls trip. Since it will just be the two of us, we were hoping to incorporate more table-service meals. What are your favorites? She’s sensitive to noise, so we’re not planning anything like Chef Mickey’s or T-Rex. Her favorite is Cinderella’s Royal Table, even without the princesses—she really loves the cupcake decorating, so bonus if she can play with her food, haha.

We went in September and the best meal of our trip for the kids was Garden Grill. Laid back compared to other places, lots of character interaction, and the food was solid. Worth watching some reviews on YouTube.

Our best meal on our trip was the character breakfast at Topolino's. The food was really good. The characters were in super fun costumes.

Sci Fi is very quiet & unique. The film clips are kitsch, not scary. We just ate at Citrico’s at Grand Floridian. It was remodeled to a Mary Poppins theme. I think it would be a really good place for a mother daughter dress up type dinner. If that’s too expensive, the Grand Floridian Cafe is nice too.

My boys were 5 and 7 when we tried sci-fi and I thought they would go nuts over it... sitting in a car, watching movies... they weren't impressed. The movies weren't scary per se, but they were a lot for my 5 year old. They said we don't have to go back any time soon! They did love jungle skipper, but we had an AMAZING waiter who did all the jungle cruise jokes. Be Our Guest might be fun, but I'd request the rose gallery if she is sensitive to noise.

The kids BOG dessert is a paint your own cookie, if I remember correctly.
I second Garden Grill as a nice low key dining option. I eat with a maniac 2 year old, so I can't remember which ones stand out as lower key.
I think where we were seated at Sanaa was lower key, plus you can get there early and go look at the animals.

I know this is an oddball, but I REALLY liked Nine Dragons in Epcot when we ate there. It's not a must do on a short trip, but I'm not opposed to incorporating it on a longer one. And I think it was pretty low key.

If your daughter is into Winnie the Pooh, Crystal Palace has brought back the characters. There used to be a Parade that kids can join, this can be a little noisy--do not know if they brought this back with the characters.
