Monday March 27th
Weather ~ hot, sunny 82*F
Sea World today!!!
After breakfast we drove up to Sea World and arrived in time to join the queue for the first dolphin feeding session of the day.
They were very attentive and it was great fun but the downside to this is that even after very extensive washing with copious amounts of soap your hands stink of raw fish all day!
We then enjoyed watching the dolphins from their underwater viewing area
then it was on to look at the manatees
and alligators.
Then I took all my courage in both hands and decided to ride Journey to Atlantis. I had been too scared to ride this before but having read in the Unofficial Guide that the drop isn’t as bad as Splash Mountain (which I love) I decided to be very brave! Well, it was great fun, the drop wasn’t nearly as scary as it looks but did we get splashed!
Luckily it was a hot day so we dried off in the sunshine with an ice-cream whilst Danielle had a wrap put in her hair, then visited the cute penguins at Penguin Encounter.
We had wanted to go up the Sky Tower
but unfortunately it was closed due to the wind so we made our way over to Shamu stadium to watch Believe which we thought was a lovely show. Then on to Wild Artic
to ride the simulator and see the polar bears.
By now we were starving so we went to the Voyager and for $6.99 each had a HUGE slice of pizza and fries ~ excellent value.
Finally we went to the Whale and Dolphin Theatre to watch Blue Horizons which was another great show before making our way home after a lovely relaxing day.
Tomorrow – off to St Pete Beach!
