Fun resort for kids

I have stayed at all levels of Disney resorts and I do think they are all kid friendly and children will enjoy any of them. Most recently, I stayed at Art of Animation and I think it has tremendous kid appeal. I loved this resort just as much as AKL, WL, or YC/BC. All the larger than life statues are really fun and the entire grounds of the resort is so well done. The bus service was quick when we were there, too. AoA has real wow factor for kids...And adults!

Next question, and this is me being lazy but how much of a discount do they usury offer for the spring time on resorts? Since we are going during the "slow" season, I know they often do discounts. For the deluxe resorts is it more 15 or 25%?

We took our daughter with us to Disney when she was about 2 1/2 and we loved staying at Beach Club. While she napped in the afternoon, I (or the mr.) would wander around the resort/ Boardwalk area or go to the pool. In the evenings, we would walk over to Epcot for dinner in the WS. She was a little social butterfly in her stroller and it was the perfect resort for us on that trip.

Our first trip my daughter was 5... all she really cared about at the resort was the pool & snacks, so you can't go wrong at any of them really. So I would look at budget, and what amenities are you looking for.

Deluxe discounts can be anywhere from 25-35%. I've only seen the 35% for AP holders, and when that happened the GP discount was 30%.

Any and all resorts have huge benefits for kids, I mean, it is Disney!
That being said, I'd choose:
Pop or Art of Animation:
-LOTS of larger than life decorations, statues, and the themeing specifically at AoA is AMAZING. Everything is brightly colored and new and shiny. Great for kids to look at, play on and such.

I agree with the others you can't go wrong wth any of them. And as an adult in the scenario I would prefer to be on the MK loop for convenience sake. Have a great trip!

I really want to be as close to the MK as possible, the issue is the wife is more concerned about money than I am. So my guess is the deluxe resorts are likely out. Based on this thread is guess I'm leaning towards POFQ or AoA.

We stayed at POR in a Royal Room when my daughter was two, and at Pop in a standard room (attached to the room my parents were staying in) when she was three.

She says she liked both. She really liked the pool at Pop with the "flower showers" and also liked that grandpa and grandma were at Pop. (Ha! I think if we stayed there without them in the future, she would keep asking where they were!) She also liked the lake at Pop, the ability to walk over to AoA to try a different food court (with gelato!), and the kids "treasure hunt" map they gave her upon check in. It was just a fun resort.

At POR, she mainly liked the princess room. I super love the pool there because it is nice and shady, but she doesn't specifically remember it. She says other than the princess room, she liked the fountain by our room and the boat you could take (that goes to Disney Springs).

So, you can take her opinion for what it's worth. :)

I will add that if I had an unlimited budget, I would take her ASAP to stay at Grand Floridian. She loves "fancy" things, and was in awe when we went to dinner there this year.
