fun place for birthday lunch?

I was planning to celebrate my birthday at Blue Bayou for an early lunch before we catch our flight home. I'm ordering a gluten free birthday cake too!

But... I just found out some friends will also be at DL a few days prior so we're now going to eat at Blue Bayou with them at the start of our trip.

Do you have any ideas on a fun place for a birthday lunch other than Blue Bayou? It can be in either park (we will have AP's by then) and does not have to be fancy- just fun. We will already be eating at Jazz Kitchen (Sun brunch) and Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. We may be having breakfast at Ariel's Grotto as well (ADR is in place) if Anna & Elsa end up being sighted there (sure hope the rumor is true! although I'm doubting it...)

It will be myself, DH and DD4.

many thanks in advance!

I have to ask, when you say "fun birthday lunch" how do you envision it being any different than having a fun lunch for any reason? I ask because sometimes people are trying to find out if any places "do" something to celebrate someone's birthday (e.g., free dessert, etc.).

The only place that I can think of that routinely does something for birthdays is Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. They usually have a round of singing Happy Birthday to everyone that is celebrating.

I was thinking fun in terms of an interesting atmosphere or some place which does something unique to celebrate birthdays.

I'm leaning towards StoryTeller's Cafe as we will be checking out of GC right before lunch and it sounds like a fun atmosphere even if it's not during the breakfast (or perhaps we could grab the last breakfast resie and have them bring out the cake).

I read some reviews of a Plaza Inn birthday thing but the page on disneyland.go.com is gone so I'm assuming it's not offered anymore.

Yes, the party at Plaza Inn was canceled last year. DD and I both had birthdays on our last trip, and every character meal and table service restaurant did something different to celebrate our birthdays. At Carnation Cafe I got an ice cream sundae with Mickey sprinkles. At Surf's Up breakfast DD got a chocolate brownie and they sang a Zip-a-De-Do-Dah version of the birthday song. At Goofy's Kitchen they sang a different birthday song (something about Happy birthday from Goofy and his crew) and she got a big cookie and a special button.
