I tried to buy Fun in the Sun passes and the link says they're not available. Anyone know the status?

Also, two questions about the passes:
1. Can you park hop with them? Does unlimited use mean you can come and go?
2. Do they have an expiration date for first use? Can I buy them now for a trip we're taking one year from now?

Thanks!

You have to be a member of mousesavers for this pass.
write to Mary at mousesavers and see if she can send you a newsletter which will cover all the pass has to offer.
DIS requests that we do not post information about discounts, special passes, etc. that the general public cannot get.

Will do. I got the newsletter but it wasn't covered. I will drop Mary an email. Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure to raise any further questions through her instead of posting here :)

Piglette,

I have purchased these passes for our trip in Nov 02,they can be used as you would use a hopper pass allowing you to enter as many parks as you wish in 1 day and it only counts as 1 day from your pass.
As regards the expiry date they are valid for 30 days from the 1st day of use but I think it states on mine that they are only valid tickets upto the end of March 03 so they would be no good for your trip in 12m time.

Hope this helps

I am having the same problem with the Link that came in my Mousesavers newsletter... this morning the link brought me to the website to buy the special "fun in the sun" tickets, and I was in a rush to get to work, and didn't purchase at that point. I just got home and attempted to purchase, and now the site says they are not available at this time. What gives? any one know???

After opening the e-mail Refresh your browser, then click on the link.

nothing..... oh well... I'll just keep looking , if you think of anything else, let me know!

I just read the description of the Fun in the Sun passes on .http://www.disneyareainfo.com and it indicates that they are for international travelers, and says that use of the passes may require proof of identity such as a passport or international driver's license. Has anyone who is from the US actually used these tickets successfully? I'd hate to spend the money on them and then not be able to use them

Hmm... you are right. I went to the site you linked (you need to take the comma out after the com) It says
The Florida Fun In The Sun Tickets is valid for thirty (30) days starting with the first day of use at ANY park or attraction. Florida Fun In The Sun Tickets guest must be aware that one or more theme parks, attractions or other venues may be closed in whole or in part temporarily or during the entire period of the guest's planned visit, without notice, due to refurbishing, capacity inclement weather or special events and may otherwise change or be discontinued without notice and without liability to the owners of Walt Disney World Resort. This attraction ticket can only be sold in some International Areas. The Florida Sun in the Sun Ticket requires the use of biometrics and may required proof of identification via passport or international driver's license with support photo ID for admission.

I am quite interested if anyone from the U.S. has been able to use them. I also ordered them a couple of days ago and that part of the disclaimer was not on the info page. Now, I'm worred.

Earlier this year, there were reports from posters who successfully used the Fun in the Sun passes. The posters were U.S. residents who live in the United States. If you do a search you should find the relevant posts.

Here is one of them - check out the posts by madduck:

I just got this email from Ticket Mania about the Fun in the Sun tickets...

"The vendor that we can get those tickets from, did not get all of the
contractual details worked out, and we can not get addtional Fun in the
Sun tickets, we are trying to get these details worked out, and at this
time have to time frame for being able to offer them again."

I guess this is a no-go either.

Sorry this was NOT Paramount but Ticket Mania...Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks, Carol. Ticketmania did call me back. They told me basically the same thing that Paramount had said. They can't get anymore tickets right now because of a contractual problem with the vendor. He assured me that I would be able to use the tickets (Fun in the Sun) that I had ordered earlier in the week even though I live in the U.S. I trust Mousesavers and if Mary vouches for Ticket Mania then they must be reputable.

Bev
