Hello there! I went with my friends to Seaside Heights, New Jersey last Sunday. It was a great weekend trip to see its Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean. We went to see all that makes it fun and play the games! We won two big boxes of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. That is a lot of candy! We also put our feet in the water. It was freezing cold!!! Then we rode the Moby Dick ride, where you sit on an elevated platform (like Alladin's Magic Carpet) and you go up, down, and side-to-side. It was fun - we were on the ride for at least 5 minutes since no one else was in line!!! Hope that you make it to Seaside Heights, New Jersey some time.

Hi Jason. Another Seaside Heights fan. I just came across your post and decided to stop in. I grew up in Monmouth County NJ not far from the beach (Sandy Hook) and spent many days and nights in SH. I was just up there visiting in March and went to Point Pleasant for a few hours. I like that more now that I am "older" with kids!! I do miss the Jersey Shore. Even though I am on the beach in Florida, it is not the same. Florida has some beautiful beaches but few have the charm that the Jersey Shore has. I am "homesick" now!!! New Jersey has some great shore towns up and down the coast, so all of you that think Jersey is just the yucky Turnpike and its refineries needs to go see the "real" Jersey!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :) :sunny:  :cheer2: ::yes:: :car:

Jason, I am jealous of you! You got to go already this spring.

When I was growing up, my uncle had a house in Lakewood that my father would help him fix up. So we'd go to that house for the weekend and drive to Seaside via Route 549. 549 was a two-lane road paved into the sand back then. (Now it's highway packed with shopping and malls, etc. That's progress!) We'd go to the beach during the day and boardwalk at night.

My family and I went a bunch of times last summer, thanks to our finding the wonderful Mark III hotel where we can bring our 120 pound mutt. Loved it! Every single restaurant or food court or arcade we went to had some kind of live entertainment. I swear you see better performers there than you do on American Idol.

We discovered the Crab's Claw Inn in Lavalette last year. Excellent restaurant and another place that offers fine entertainment every night.

I am crazy for Maruca's pizza and we like the Sawmill too. Also enjoy the Spicy Food Court (another place that has great bands including Rich Meyer every Sunday night). Our son likes the Coin Castle arcade next door to it quite bit.

I can hardly wait until we can go back! Won't be at least for another 3 weeks since we have parties to attend the next 2 weekends.

Thanks for posting! I love to rave about my favorite place. It draws a lot of negative comments because of all the teenagers that go there, but you know what? I like seeing the kids! It brings back so many memories. Yes, I was once a teen who hung out there too.

We use to race Jetskis' at SH it was a nice place for a weekend trip several times a year.
