I am going to a retreat this weekend that will have prizes. Instead of putting names in a bowl and drawing for them, I was trying to come up with some fun ways to win. Any ideas?

Something like - the first women that can come to the stage with a ??? wins. Or the first women that can name the 7 dwarfs wins.

It's a retreat for women only - if that helps a little.

Thanks for all your ideas!

I played a game once at a shower where we had a purse scavenger hunt. There was a list of items (breath mints, nail clippers, band-aids, etc.) and the person who could pull the most things on the list out of their purse won a prize. It was pretty fun!

Somone that was in labor the longest? Someone that had the shortest labor?Someone had their baby somewhere unique/odd like in the backseat of a cab.

I don't know how many people are going to be in the retreat but you could do an ice breaker where you have a list of getting to know you questions and the person that finishes the list first gets a prize and the women get to know different things about each other.

I agree with the scavenger hunt of the purse. What about the longest married? The person with the most grandchildren? Someone who has the most shoes in her closet?

LOL can you tell I've done this before and could go on all day. If you need ice breakers let me know. I have a ton of them.

Love those ideas!! Keep them coming. At check-in everyone is going to give a wierd fact about themselves, and then people will try to guess who it is. Mine would be "I was drum major in high school". I'm so far removed from high school that someone would have to really guess at that! :)

We do need to appeal to a broad spectrum of women - college students to mature adults.

Thanks again!!

Great idea!!! I'm making a list!

Someone that lived outside the US
Someone that has moved the most
Who brought the most luggage/shoes for the retreat
Who had the oddest job
Who was a prom queen then you could choose the youngest and oldest
Who owns the most purses
Someone that can't cook at all
Someone that hates chocolate(if thats possible;) )
Who had to drive the farthest to come to the retreat
Who owns a convertible
Who owns a big manly truck
Someone that has a job in a "man" career, something like construction or road construction or whatever you can think of
Someone that doesn't wear any makeup ever
Someone that has to shave their legs everyday
Someone that has never shaved their legs

Another great ice breaker, if done in small groups, is to have a bag of m&m's and have everyone pick out just a few no more thna 5 and they have to share 5 or however many unique things about themselves.

LOL do you need more?

Human Bingo.

Make a bingo cards (all made in random order) but instead of numbers have different descriptive terms, brown eyes, born in ________month, has __#__ of kids... then go around the room and let people answer one of the questions about themselves and whoever gets a bingo first wins.
